Scare Tactics: Season 3 - Part One (Uncensored: Too Hot for TV)

Official Synopsis:

Set up by friends and loved ones, unsuspecting victims are placed into elaborately staged scary situations involving movie-style special effects and makeup. The horror hoaxes are skillfully designed to tap into the wildest fears of the prank's prey. Viewers laugh along to the hilarious reactions of the show's "stars" as they are caught off guard and on camera.

Our Take:

If I were ever able to prank a friend on any type of reality show, it would be one like Scare Tactics. Though I’m not a fan of these types of reality based programs and have never seen any of the prior seasons, this one had the few thrills and gut-busting laughs that I was looking for. It’s hard for me to take these types of shows seriously because I always wonder how much of it is actually planned or scripted, but for this case I looked at it without focusing on those factors.

This DVD is labeled as “Uncensored,” which makes the reactions of the victims all the more hilarious. I mean lets face it, if this happened to me, you better believe I would be throwing all sorts of curse words left and right. Besides, who doesn’t like watching innocent (and sometimes ignorant) people get scared to death and freak out?

Special Features:

There are a few extra features for the DVD:
  • Tracey Morgan’s Frighteningly Funny Bloopers and Outtakes – There’s some funny stuff here worth taking a look at.
  • Flesh Flash! Never-Before-Seen Extra Footage on 4 Episodes
Conclusion:

Aside from the fact that the show is a bit on the cheesy side, if you’re into these types of shows than check out Scare Tactics as it’s fairly entertaining
