Official Synopsis:
Larry the Cable Guy returns for another comic misadventure as a small town sheriff who unwittingly gets involved in a high profile FBI case. Larry single-handedly "rescues" a sophisticated woman from the men who are actually protecting her. The hilariously mismatched duo must grapple with angry FBI agents, quack doctors and Chicago high society in his funniest, most unpredictable adventure yet.
  
Our Take:
The idea of Larry the Cable Guy as a law enforcement officer who is licensed to carry a gun is a scary one. But, he gets you laughing while getting ‘er done.

I know that Witless Protection is filled sophomoric humor, but the timeless gags involving bodily noises and functions are funny. Larry is rude, crude and socially unacceptable … but he sure knows how to projectile vomit when he needs to. I laughed a lot while watching the movie and, let’s face it, that’s why we watch movies like this, isn’t it?

Extras included on the DVD are:

* Making Witless: The Cast on the Cast (12 minutes).

* Larry’s Use of the Analogy (6 minutes).

* The Musicians of Witless Protection (11 minutes).

Will Witless Protection stand the test of time and become an iconic symbol of our era? I doubt it; but who cares? It’s funny and if you like to laugh at stupid stuff like references to smelly feet and hot chicks, go rent this movie.
