Jamison G. "Jamie" Pulver, 94, of Jonesville, passed away Tuesday, November 3, 2009, at the McGuire Skilled Nursing Facility in Hillsdale. He was born February 3, 1915 in Scipio Twp., Michigan to James & Elida (Emery) Pulver. He was married March 3, 1940 to Ruth Bean and she preceded him in death in 1976.

Jamie attended the Johnson and Guy Schools, his first teacher was his aunt, Florence Emery Saettel. Jamie was a graduate of Jonesville High School in 1933. Following a short course from Michigan State College, he worked two years in St. Clair County, doing cow production and testing. He entered the U.S. Navy and served in the Pacific area with the 98th Construction Battalion of the Seebees. In 1950 Jamie entered the postal service, retiring in 1982. He was a member of the Jonesville American Legion Post 195 and the National Rural Letter Carriers Association. He was also a member of Countryside Bible Church in Jonesville.

Survivors include a brother, Elmer Pulver of Osseo; a nephew, John Pulver of Grand Rapids; many cousins; special neighbors, Tony Francis, Kathy Smith and Judy Price and a good friend, Dr. Patsy Jones of Litchfield.

Funeral services for Jamie Pulver will be Friday, November 6, 2009, at 11:00 a.m., at Countryside Bible Church in Jonesville with Pastor John Lillie officiating. Interment with military honors by the Jonesville American Legion will follow at Sunset View Cemetery in Jonesville. The family will receive friends for visitation Thursday from 5-8 p.m., at the Eagle Funeral Home in Jonesville.
