Julia Ellen Vandenberg, 83, of Lampe, Missouri, formerly of Hillsdale, passed away Monday, October 19, 2009 at her home. She was born March 27, 1926 in Hillsdale to Robert & Grace (Radenbaugh) Hoover. She was married March 7, 1945 to Jay Vandenberg and he preceded her in death.
Julia owned and operated K. Ellen Dance Theatre Apparel in Fort Wane, Indiana for 18 years, and was an animal advocate.
Julia is survived by a daughter Jaynee (Tom) Vandenberg Peters of Lampe, Missouri; and a son, Kipling Vandenberg of Eureka Springs, Arkansas.
Besides her husband Jay, she was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services for Julia Vandenberg will be Friday, October 23, 2009 at 3:00 p.m. at the VanHorn-Eagle Funeral Home in Hillsdale with John Weihe officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery in Hillsdale. The family will receive friends for visitation Friday from 1-3 p.m. at the funeral home.
