First Aid is more than just a box of band-aids.
It is immediate care given to an injured or suddenly ill person.
It is better to KNOW First Aid and not need it, than to NEED First Aid and not know it.
That's why ERT offers several levels of training with you in mind. While other programs have a one-size-fits-all approach, ERT provides courses specifically designed to meet your organizational needs.

Basic First Aid gives a very good overview of what to do in the case of possible medical or traumatic emergencies. It also provides the student with an extensive guide to use for additional self-study or as a reference for use in a crisis. A total of 8 hours of classroom time (includes CPR/AED) is effectively divided between lecture, discussion and hands-on skill practice and assessment.

Intermediate First Aid provides even more in-depth learning of the topics covered in the Basic course and includes supplemental sections on Bloodborne Pathogens, Hazard Communications, Incident Management and Oxygen Therapy. During the 24 hours of class time, spread over (3) 8 hour days, each student is given even more time for skill practice. Additionally, ERT incorporates real life scenarios in which students learn to assess and respond to a crisis situation, followed by the opportunity to debrief their experience with the instructor.
