Sonya has an extensive background in health & fitness training and has been teaching since 1988. She earned her graduate degree in Exercise Science and is an NASM Certified Personal Trainer. Her Pilates certification is through Equilibrium Pilates Systems based in Cape Town, South Africa, where she spent a year as an Equilibrium apprentice logging over 500 hours training on all Pilates apparatus. Specializing in Pilates for sports & performance conditioning, Sonya also enjoys working with clients seeking improved vitality and fitness. She offers unique, individualized programs fusing Pilates with traditional fitness training for optimum results. Sonya is an avid scuba diver and is also a Red Cross FA/AED/CPR instructor.
