Sand Creek Wild Life Refuge

The Sand Creek Wildlife Refuge lies at the base of the Island Park Caldera. Water from the the Sand Creek fill the man made ponds are feed, providing a rich wet lands for many kinds of water fowl. It is also on a main fall and spring migration route for elk and deer.
