Like the other wines from Bel Colle, the aromatic intensity here is mild and elegant, but the "Symposium" delivers its keynote speech on the palate, where it shows a very fine, lean and silky texture. "Red cherries and raspberries on the nose with some fresh herbs, followed through to a just over medium bodied palate with fine, firm tannins, and a rather dry finish. Nice, fresh fruit, but not showing much length now. Should expand in two or three years in bottle.
