Development Associate:( 25hrs/wk part-time with health & dental benefits )
FAFS is seeking a Development Associate to assist with the implementation of fund development/public relations plans as developed by FAFS Fund Development Committee and FAFS Foundation. Plans may include, but are not limited to, solicitation appeals, special events, grant writing, and public relations campaigns, etc. Act as staff liaison to FAFS and FAFS Foundation on fundraising matters. Provide administrative support to FAFS Foundation. Possess the ability to organize and implement community fund-raising programs and prospect corporate sponsors. Effectively working with volunteers is essential.
BA in related field, excellent oral, and writing and the ability to do presentations is required. Must be well organized, have attention to detail, and able to work on several projects simultaneously. The individual must possess a working knowledge of Donor Perfect or comparable fund development software. Mathematical skills are necessary. Must have successful fund development experience. Office experience a plus, and must attend outside meetings, including weekends, and some evenings if required.
