Kris wants Cory to watch ‘Feng Shui’

MANILA --- Kris Aquino is eager to have her mom, former President Corazon Aquino, watch her new movie with Star Cinema, “Feng Shui,” before the former President leaves for abroad. Thus, she is convincing Malou Santos, managing director of Star Cinema, to have a private screening before “Feng Shui” premieres on Sept. 14.

“Feng Shui” will open in more than 60 theaters nationwide on Sept. 15. It is directed by Chito RoÒo and also stars Jay Manalo, Lotlot de Leon, Ilonah Jean and Jenny Miller.

“I am proud of this movie,” Kris remarked, smiling. “That’s why I want my mom to be among the very first na makapanood nito. Not only did I deliver, wika nga, it’s talaga a horror movie in the true sense of the word.”

Kris said she has had the chance to do all kinds of movies, “But this one takes the cake,” she enthused.

“I love my role dito sa ‘Feng Shui.’ Joy, the character, I portray, is very me. Joy is also a believer in feng shui, although up to a certain extent only.”

So far, after all, the practice of feng shui has done Kris good. She revealed that before she signed her contract with ABS-CBN, she consulted a geomancer, who gave her the ideal date for the contract signing and where she should have it. The feng shui master even told her what color of dress she should wear.

“Ako, naniniwala ako sa isang bagay, sa isang belief, lalo na kapag ‘di rin lang naman ito makakasama sa akin,” said Kris.

Indeed, no one can argue that Kris is doing very well as a contract star of ABS-CBN. (MNS)

Randy coming back to MTB

MANILA --- Good news to Randy Santiago’s followers: He might just be asked to join “MTB: Ang Saya Saya” anew. The people behind the noontime show apparently think Edu Manzano needs a “kabatuhan” who is articulate and witty like Edu.

Do you know that Edu and Randy both studied at De La Salle University? Edu, though, is one semester away from graduating, while Randy is a certified business management graduate.

Randy hosted the original “Magandang Tanghali, Bayan,” along with John Estrada and Willie Revillame. He, however, was a casualty when the program had a major revamp nearly a year ago. (MNS)

Rica mum on split with Bernard

MANILA --- Rica Peralejo remains silent, to date, as to the real reason of her split-up with boyfriend of three years, Bernard Palanca. But both swear there is no third party involved in their break-up.

Rica’s decision to keep everything “off the record” muna has kept her “EK Channel” co-hosts, Marvin Agustin, Angelika de la Cruz and Dominic Ochoa, from mentioning the report in the show. This, we feel, is unfair to the viewers. As one “EK Channel” diehard said: “Bakit ‘pag tsismis tungkol sa iba, parang ayaw nilang ma-outscoop? They owe it to their show’s following to get first-hand information regarding the tsismis about them (the hosts).”

Come to think of it, all of Rica’s co-hosts in “EK Channel” are themselves brokenhearted. It was only recently that Marvin was said to have broken up with his girlfriend, reportedly the daughter of a Metro Manila mayor.

We have yet to hear the reason for their separation straight from him.

Dominic Ochoa has also remained mum about the reason he called it quits with Janna Victoria, who seems to be still hurting from the break-up.

And about Angelika, isn’t it about time that she finally comes out with the truth about her separation with Victor Neri? (MNS)
