NEW YORK CITY --- The maiden U.S. tour of the much awaited THE NIGHT OF THE CHAMPIONS, as staged by the RE-AL Entertainment Inc. at the Colden Center for the Performing Arts was enthusiastically welcomed by the Filipino American audience in the tri-state region. Fans and admirers from all corners paraded the packed concert hall to attend and cheer four of the brightest singing sensations from the motherland.

Leading the group was Pop Teen Princess, Ms. SARAH GERONIMO (Star for A Night Grand Champion), Ms. RACHELLE ANN GO (Search For A Star Grand Champion), Mr. MARK BAUTISTA (Star for A Night Runner up) and Mr. CHRISTIAN BAUTISTA (Star In A Million Runner up).

The concert had an energized introduction with the power foursome blasting with the song ‘WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS’ to the thunderous applause and cheers of the audience. All of the artists expressed their immediate appreciation for the opportunity of appearing in the big apple. Special mention was made to the concert executive producers, Alice and Red Martinez.

Some memorable numbers were Christian Bautista’s rendition of his hit songs and a Broadway medley of songs which were highlighted by his wonderful voice. Rachelle Ann Go surprised her fans and admirers with a string of Sharon Cuneta hit numbers, followed by a rendition of the carrier single from her self titled CD album.

The concert audience cheered altogether as Mark Bautista took his spot as he approached the stage. Backed by his popular character appearance from the tv soap opera, Sarah The Teen Princess, Mark charmed his way to everybody’s delight with his hit songs.

The tandem of Sarah and Mark delighted the entire concert hall with their popular duet and bantering on stage. Both singers acted their roles as a popular love team as the crowd continuously applauded.

To everyone’s expectations, Sarah Geronimo was the central element to the magnificent foursome. Everyone in attendance seems affected by her stage appearance and decorum.

From the intro segued to a medley of Tagalog novelty songs, dressed with multi colored fringe denim, Sarah manifest a true performer beyond her young age of sixteen.

When Sarah took helm of the microphone for her solo spots during the concert, the teen pop princess manages her spiels and dialogues like a true professional. One audience commented that she has the ease and crowd appeal that touches the audience to listen to her.

As she connected with the crowd, Sarah magically begins with a medley of Regine Velazques numbers, whom she acknowledges as her first idol. Her vocal range explodes to ear splitting levels that even foreign audiences gladly applauded her skill.

The most memorable spot was Sarah’s rendition of her international idol’s hit songs, Ms. Celine Dion. The special musical arrangement, penned by Musical Director Mark Lopez, captured the best part of Sarah’s vocal talent. The entire hall was silently focused on Sarah’s explosive performance which the audience rewarded with the evening’s standing ovation.

Sarah’s popularity, as fueled by the TFC showing of her tv soap opera, is being supported by a very large young audience base. As she descended the stage, Sarah gently gathered children around her, as they join her singing her popular hit song ‘FOREVER IS NOT ENOUGH”.

To conclude the evening’s performance, Sarah, Rachelle Ann, Mark and Christian, joined forces and blasted the entire audience with a thundering IMPOSSIBLE DREAM arrangement. For Sarah, Rachelle Ann, Mark and Christian, the concert performance was a reality of their big dreams and for the concert audience it was a beautiful dream come true.
