Lyfe, Kasama, Action!
LEADING Youth to Find Empowerment (LYFE), the youth program of the Filipino American Human Services, Inc (FAHSI), is holding a free youth talent showcase entitled “LYFE, Kasama, Action.” The show, which is part of the city-wide Immigration Heritage Week, features youth performers. It will take place in the Queens Art Museum on Sunday, April 20, 2008 at 1:30 PM to 4:30 PM.

This is FAHSI’s second year as a partner of the Mayor’s Office of Immigrant Affairs, which established Immigration Heritage Week. Formerly known as Immigration History Week, it is set around April 17, a historic immigrant date. Its goal is to celebrate the experiences and contributions of immigrants in NYC.

LYFE, Kasama, Action is a youth-led event, produced by high-school interns of FAHSI.

For more information regarding FAHSI’s free Filipino youth activities, contact Melanie Dulfo at outreach@fahsi.org or 718-883-1295. Check our website at www.fahsi.org or myspace.com/fahsi for details.
