- Fill a vase with water and flower food provided by florist.
- Cut about 1" from the bottom of each stem at a diagonal angle.
- Remove all stems and leaves below water level to avoid bacteria growth.
- Remove the outermost petal from each rose bud.
- Recut stems and replace the water every other day. Keep away from direct sunlight or drafts.

- Tip: Roses with tight buds will open up when put in warm water for several hours.
- Tip: To revive a drooping rose, cut the stem and submerge the entire rose in water for about an hour. Straighten the stem and bud in the water. Then replace it in the vase.
