Dubuque Community School District The Dubuque Community School District encompasses the City of Dubuque and surrounding rural areas. Enrollment is just under 10,000 students. The geographical area served is over 240 square miles and the district provides bus transportation for more than 4400 students each day. Over 60 School-Business Partnerships are in place. Western Dubuque Community School District The Western Dubuque Community School District serves western Dubuque County, encompassing 550 square miles (the largest in the state of Iowa) and 18 communities. The district serves over 2,500 students in pre-school through grade 12 at eight attendance centers. Western Dubuque High School is a comprehensive four-year public high school located in Epworth, Iowa, 15 miles west of Dubuque. The school's enrollment is approximately 850 students each year. Holy Family Catholic Schools Dubuque's Holy Family Catholic Schools partner with families, integrating an academic curriculum with religious truth and values. Students engage in learning and living the Catholic faith through experiences of message, worship, community and service. Faculty, staff, parents and students bring faith to life and life to faith through information and formation opportunities. The day care, pre-school, elementary and high school programs are accredited by the Iowa Department of Education, the Iowa Department of Social Services and the Archdiocese of Dubuque.
