At AICA, our Christian faith rests on the following truths:
1.There is one God, eternally existent in three persons; Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
2. The Bible is the inspired, infallible, authoritative Word of God which is “useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness that the man of God may be equipped for every good work.” (II Timothy 3:16-17)
3.God created the universe and created man in His own image.
4. Adam and Eve’s disobedience brought sin and into the world. Man thus alienated himself from God, his neighbor and the world. All are sinners.
5. Jesus Christ is God incarnate, born of a virgin, who came to earth to conquer sin and and to reconcile the world to Himself. He lived a sinless life and became our atonement for sin through His shed. He was crucified and rose from the . He ascended to the Father, is Lord over all creation and will come again in power and glory.
6. Eternal life is a gift from God received personally through faith in Jesus Christ alone. Eternal life is neither deserved nor can it be earned through works. God promises all who trust in Him forgiveness of sins, fullness of grace, His presence in trial and rejoicing and eternal life in His kingdom which has no end.
7. God calls us into His body to accept the cost and joy of discipleship, to be His servants, to resist the powers of evil and to proclaim the gospel to all the world.
8. God has charged parents with the responsibility of bringing up their children in the “nurture and admonition of the Lord.” (Ephesians 6:4)
