"I have always been drawn to the many expressions of an individual's experience of the world around them. There is in those who listen a call to search out that which complements what surrounds them; to capture it and hold it still in a moment of recognition. When this happens, there is a congruence of landscape and inscape and with it, emotion: a moment of peace, a cascade of feeling, a reconnection to self, expanded perspectives, or simply a feeling of coming home. As an artist, my eyes see opportunities everywhere in provoking that which lies within the individual and drawing that individual's attention to achieving a connectedness in the context of the self."

"Artists offer these experiences through many mediums. I am fascinated by nature. . .trees, oceans, rocks and the expression of human nature. It is everywhere; a continuum of the antiquated to the novel. I enjoy capturing the essence of a moment and seek to complement the moment I encounter when I click the shutter.
Using infrared film and then hand tinting the print, my photographs take on an ethereal, dreamy, otherworldy calm. The search for serenity is a growing aspect of our daily lives. My goal is to provide these opportunities wherever individuals find themselves, at home, in the work place and in public spaces."
