HAUS IN TAUS
OUR LIVINGROOM
I have been crocheting since the age of 7, when my mother taught me how. Since then, I have spent many hours creating beautiful things with both thread and yarn.

Several years ago we started doing a complete remodel of our home. Now that the work has been completed, we decided it was time to start using some of my creations to decorate our own home. My husband especially likes the look of crochet so I started with the living room. That is "his" room with his computer and tv. My "room" is the dining room, with my computer, tv, and crafting area.

All of the pictures on this page show the things I have used in our living room and I would be able to recreate them for your home, in your color choices. I used primarily the pineapple pattern because it symbolizes hospitality and is a pattern that I really enjoy doing. I also have a lot of fun experimenting with different color combinations, as you can see from the pictures. But, I have also tried coordinate the colors to go with our furniture. My next huge project for the living room is valances for the windows. However, this will have to be done as time permits.

If you would be interested in any of the pieces shown in these pictures, please feel free to contact me via email. I do not, at the present time, have some of them on the regular pages. br>
This website is always a work in progress, just like my home .

This is our roll top desk. Doily is Cluster Pineapple pattern in natural and dusty rose trim.
Roll Top Desk

My recliner showing a set of pinapple pattern back and arm covers. The color is again natural with dusty rose accent.
Hubby's rocker recliner. Same pineapple pattern, also done in natural, but this set is trimmed with celery green for a totally different look.

This is our coffee table, in front of the couch. Another version of a pineapple pattern, done in natural as the main color and trimmed with both celery green and frosty green.
This used to be our telephone stand. Now it is a really neat table used for storing picture albums, among other things. The doily pattern is called Yuletide with natural as the main color and again accented with celery and frosty greens.
