Andersen Manufacturing's Rapid Hitch is the perfect hitch that has the greatest versatility available in any hitch system. They are available in the 3 ¼” or 5 ¼” drop/rise sizes. If you have a tow vehicle that sits real high off the ground, there’s also a full 10" drop available. The 10" Drop should be purchased for trucks and SUV's that have at least a 6" or higher lift kit. If the upper inside portion of the towing vehicle's receiver tube is 24" off the ground—or higher—then you’ll need the full 10” drop; otherwise, the 3 ¼” or 5 ¼” drop/rise will work best. The 5 ¼” drop/rise Rapid Hitch is designed to fit most standard ½ and ¾ ton trucks. The 3 ¼” drop/rise is best for most standard height SUV’s.

The Rapid Hitch offers a double ball system that is easily turned (as depicted in the picture above) to accommodate two different sized trailer receivers, from a 2” x 2 5/16” ball combination (plated steel, stainless steel, or a Greaseless Alumiball system) to a 1 7/8" x 2" ball combination (plated steel ONLY). We also offer 1 7/8” single ball (plated steel ONLY) for those who have multiple trailers with each of the three different sized receivers.

As mentioned above, in addition to the plated steel and stainless steel ball combos, we would like to spotlight the Rapid Hitch also available with a Greaseless Alumiball. The Greaseless Alumiball is lightweight, strong, durable and rust free. It has up to an 8,000 lb towing capacity, depending on the ball size. The 2 5/16" ball is good for 8,000 lbs and the 2" ball has a towing capacity of 6,000 lbs. This is a great rust free option to the costomer who tows lighter loads. In any case, plated steel, stainless steel, or Greaseless Alumiball, the Rapid Hitch itself is made of a very strong aluminum alloy and will never rust! If road grime builds up after months of hard usage, just grab a rag and any brand of aluminum polish and apply it to the Rapid Hitch. It will pollish up again and look brand new.

What's more, Andersen’s Rapid Hitch will NEVER RUST! Because they are constructed from a special aluminum alloy (the same alloy used for NASCAR racing frames), they have no need to paint or chrome the surface; and for this reason, it can't flake or chip to expose a metal that is susceptible to the effects of weather and rust. They simply polish the surface to a high gloss finish which lasts a lifetime. Also, because it is constructed of aluminum, it’s much lighter than steel!

The Rapid Hitches adjustable height allows you to tow easily and safely by keeping the trailer parallel to the ground, maintaining a more stable tow. It’s great for all recreational type trailers and is the most versatile hitch available anywhere on the market!
