These homes must be made "visitable". Visitable Habitat homes are built where no household member uses assistive mobility devices but are designed to enable people who do use such devices to visit the homeowner. Two Habitat volunteers are shown here beginning the construction of a ramp and safe landing along the side of the garage. The ramp will fold up against the garage wall when it is not in use, and the landing and access ramp will lean against the wall.
