Iverson Bothell Lab accredited by CAP (College of American Pathologists) On August 31st, two doctors from the Molecular Pathology Laboratory at Creighton University Medical School in Nebraska visited our headquarters in Bothell for our first College of American Pathologists (CAP) laboratory inspection. Although Iverson has been certified for several years under the federal CLIA inspection and licensure program, Iverson elected to have a CAP inspection as well. CAP’s mission is more than regulatory, it is also educational. CAP inspections aim to provide interaction between the inspectors, who are functioning lab directors or technicians, and those being inspected, in order to share ideas for laboratory improvement. We had a successful inspection and obtained ideas for improvement. As of October 12th, 2009 Iverson Genetic Diagnostics, Inc. is CAP certified. Congratulations to Iverson and the amazing lab team led by Dr. Laurance Ferreri in Bothell, WA.
