Even though Nandina™ looks like silk and feels like cashmere, it is naturally strong and durable, so your towels will stand the test of time-wash after wash.
The real beauty of Nandina™ towels is that they are created from organic and sustainable resources that are grown without damage to the planet. Our bamboo is plantation grown, and can be ready to harvest every two-three years. We use only organic cotton that is grown without the use of harmful pesticides or chemicals. This is particularly important since conventionally grown cotton utilizes an estimated 25% of all insecticide used globally. These substances are absorbed not only by the cotton plant, but also by the seeds, soil, air, water and eventually us.
Of equal importance is that our manufacturing process does not negatively impact our environment. Nandina™ towels are loomed in a factory powered by the wind. Only natural or low-impact dyes are used to produce our lovely color ranges and the water that comes out of the dye house is clear, clean and ready to use again. Care for your Nandina™ towels couldn’t be simpler: use only mild detergent -- natural detergent is best. Do not use bleach or fabric softeners on your towels as they aren’t needed or recommended. Your towels will stay soft naturally.
