Lead Singer/Diva
BORN: June 22, later 1900’s ~ Youngest member of the band.
PLACE: Muskegon, Michigan
CHILDREN: Annie and Buddy (doggies)
BACKGROUND:
Sang with the Ford Sisters Trio in church, age 3.
Started playing piano, age 5.
Added drums, age 11.
Switched to guitar because the band teacher said girls don’t play drums, age 12.
Proved my band teacher wrong and decided to start my own band, playing drums age 13.
Started playing fiddle, age 26.
Honors choir in Muskegon High School, moved to Lansing with my family.
Went to Waverly High School and sang with the Madrigals group.
Won High School Vocal Music Scholarship and attended Olivet College. B.A. Degree in Music Education and member of Sigma Beta Sorority which got me my first paying gig in Battle Creek.

College Jazz group, Numerous solo gigs, Duo (Ford & Strang), Sound Chaser, Ford’s Country, and the Kathy Ford Band
RECORDING:
Studio By the Pond, Fireside Studio, Music Mill Studio, Sugar Foot Records, and ESU Records (all in Nashville)
LA Productions, Harvest Productions, Motown Records (Background vocals for various local artists)
1988-1991 (Among several others) Recommended Billboard for singles “Hideaway,” “Let It Be Me Tonight” and “Going Down Home.” Cashbox Indies Chart “Hideaway,” “Going Down Home,” and “Let It Be Me Tonight”, and a couple more.
All of these were nationally distributed and promoted.
1992 Recorded “From the Heart” at LA Productions (Available at Elderly Instruments)
