How to Stay Healthy When Under Stress

Always eat a healthy breakfast.

A good protein based breakfast will start the day off right and give you energy and stamina for the day. A high carb breakfast sets you up for a fall of energy and mood only several hours later.

Choose high protein foods like:Iron chef

Eggs and turkey bacon

Whole grain toast with peanut butter

Protein bars

Apple with almond or cashew butter

Whey protein shakes with berries

Hard/ soft boiled eggs

Egg and cheese sandwich                     Iron Chef Science- Breakfast Edition

Cheese toast

Take a multivitamin/mineral every morning.

It is impossible to get all the nutrients you need every day. We do not always eat right and our soil is very depleted. Taking a Multi covers all your bases.

Take a B vitamin every day!!

B vitamins are quickly used up when you are under any kind of stress and must be replenished every day. Many medications also deplete the body of B vitamins, such as anti-depressants and birth control pills. There are not enough available in a multivitamin so an additional one is needed if you have a stressful life!

Eat regular small meals throughout the day to stabilize your blood sugar.

Skipping meals or going long periods of time without eating can really lead to low blood sugar which will make you feel irritable, headachy and shaky. Eating a small snack of mostly protein every 3-4 hours will give you more energy and help you get through the day with less brain fog. Try a hand full of nuts or a half of a protein bar.

Exercise, exercise, exercise!!!!

Studies show that those who exercise on a regular basis feel better, sleep better and manage their stress better.

Use an adrenal support product that combines herbs and vitamins.

Your adrenal system is under attack when you are stressed and must be supported. All health food stores carry herbal products designed to help you handle stress.
