Memory Garden

The Memory Garden was inspired by two ideas. First, of course, was to have a way to remember those we’ve lost in a way that would carry on for generations. Second was that a friend and I decided to start a daylily hybridizing business and the two just naturally coincided.

After much discussion and several months of preparation we decided to plant a daylily in memory of each person. Highland’s Memory Garden is a work in progress and will likely never be fully completed but the plan is to have an annual event dividing and selling our daylilies and donating the money to the Alzheimer’s cause.
