The Michigan vs Ohio Border Battle was put on by the Michigan Girls Basketball Report (MGBR). On July 31st top players from Michigan and Ohio went head to head in a competitive showcase format to essentially see who was the #1 state. It came down to the last round of games for Michigan to be crowned the winner (Michigan 13-Wins to Ohio 11-Wins).

The Michigan vs Ohio Border Battle has been tabbed one of the top 2 events this summer by college coaches. The event presented a 2 to 1 player to college coach ratio. Next year the event will be even stronger as some major plans are in the works to make the event even more special for the players and college coaches.

Competitive travel teams from Michigan, Canada, Ohio and Indiana gathered in late July for the Great Lakes Summer Showcase. Several players received MGBR All-Tournament honrs based on their performance at the event. CLICK HERE FOR ALL-TOURNAMENT TEAMS.

April 20th 2008 at Eastern Michigan University boasted the 1st annual Michigan Top 100 Showcase. The showcase had 240 invitees at the event and it was definitely a packed house at EMU.
