Log Repair
Several factors lead to the extensive log rot on this home.
1. As many as 7 annual coats of a film forming stain applied while the logs were new and had a very high moisture content. The stain sealed in the moisture and caused the logs to rot.
2. General lack of maintenance over the years did the rest of the damage.





Under windows and log ends are both typical places you see log rot needing refacing and replacing.
