6 Sins Most Christians Commit
on a Regular Basis

There are 6 sins most Christians commit on a regular basis, and most are NOT EVEN AWARE they are engaged in the practice. I do believe that it is the desire of every sincere Christian, that they live their lives in accordance with the will of God. However Jesus himself addressed this issue dealing with Christians who did many wonderful things for the Lord, yet Jesus declares He never knew them. Mat. 7:21-23

21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. The New King James version says, 23 And then I will declare to them, I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!'

This should make every Christian wake up and wonder if that could be Jesus talking to them. It is apparent that eternal life has been lost. These Christians who have done supposedly marvelous things are commandment breakers. But which commandments could they be breaking. They never miss a Sunday church service or a Wednesday night prayer meeting. They read and study the Bible. They pray for the sick and cast out demons. How could they possibly not be doing the will of the Father?

What this article will teach you may disturb you, it may even shock you. It doesn't matter if you are a lay person or a minister, many of you will reject what is written here only because it is not pleasant nor is it convenient. God's word is like a two edged sword and it cuts deeply. That's not so bad so long as it is the other guy who is being cut. But for many lifelong Christians, it is out of the question to change habit when God's will, will involve necessary change. Unfortunately when truth exposes error, many will reject the truth and embrace the familiar error.
There are several points that must be understood before we cover those 6 sins, that most Christians are committing on a regular basis. First we must have the Bible definition of sin. We find that in 1 John 3:4 "Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law".

That is very plain. Sin is commandment breaking. Paul identified sin this way in Romans 7:7 7 What shall we say then? Is the law sin? God forbid. Nay, I had not known sin, but by the law: for I had not known lust, except the law had said, Thou shalt not covet.
The whole purpose of the Ten Commandments is to show us and convict us, when we have gone contrary to the commandment/s, that we have sinned.
The moral law, the ten commandments, is the law referred to here. They are the immutable expression of God's character and will for mankind, to live a holy and noble life. They are not suggestions for living, they are God's requirements for living a sin free life. However, violation of one commandment produces the guilt and the same penalty as though all were transgressed. (James 2:10). "Whoever shall keep the whole law, and yet stumble in one point, he is guilty of all".

The Bible makes it clear, there is a penalty for sin. Romans 6:23 "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord".

Sin, breaking a commandment of God, requires the death of the sinner. This has nothing to do with the first death we all must die because of Adam's sin. We were born with that death penalty hanging over us. But the sin we have committed in our lifetime, unrepented and unforgiven, puts us under the penalty of the second death.

God gives us a choice of how we are to die that second death.

Choice #1. We can die our own second death in the lake of fire. Revelation 21:8
"But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death". OR

Choice #2. We can accept God's gift, Jesus Christ to die OUR second death on the cross. You see sin must be paid for by the death of the sin bearer. God's love for us was so great that He chose not to spare His Son, so Jesus became our substitution. He became the sin bearer on the cross. He who knew no sin, took our repented and confessed sin and paid the price that we deserved to pay. Our second death is already done.

Eternal life is assured so long as we do not commit sin that we fail to repent and confess to God and receive forgiveness for. But the enemy of souls knows there is a slippery slope called the sin of omission. We are aware of the sins we commit. But what about the sins we omit in our confession for possible ignorance of the fact that we are actually sinning. Can God forgive us?

A large part of the Christian world looks at God as a sort of grand fatherly figure who will wink at sin and make exceptions. But this last generation of God's people can not plead ignorance of the fact that they are engaged in open rebellion against heaven. God Himself stated in the book of Hosea 4:6
"My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children".
When God says MY people, He is not talking about the world in general. He is expressly talking about those who claim to be His followers. Destroyed for a lack of knowledge. This generation which has no excuse, chooses to be so busy with the cares of this life, that there is no time to search the riches God holds in His word. Eternity is being sacrificed for the gods of this world.

Today most of the Christian world is in Babylon. Babylon is "spiritual confusion." Doctrines of devils have flooded the churches and heresies are taught as truth, with no scriptural truth to support them.
God is calling the people of this very generation to come out of confusion, to forsake Babylon and to join the ranks of His remnant people who keep the commandments of God. Rev. 18:2-4; 12:17
"2. And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird. 3. For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies. 4. And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues."
"17. And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ".
The next point we need to consider is that although God is not willing that any soul should perish, Satan is not willing that any soul shall be saved. God has used no coercion. Everything God has done to save us has been borne out of a deep LOVE and longing to win man back.
On the other hand, Satan has used every cowardly practice to destroy our hope of eternal life. He stops at nothing to bring about your downfall. Lies and deceptions are at the forefront. It started in Eden and it effectively continues today. Only he has successfully maneuvered his lies to be told from the very spot where you are most vulnerable. The pulpit.
Satan's studied object of his attack is on the moral law of God, the 10 Commandments. He is well aware of what the Holy Spirit wrote through James in the New Testament.(James 2:10).
"Whoever shall keep the whole law, and yet stumble in one point, he is guilty of all".
Ideally he would love to get the Christian world to throw out the law altogether. But at the least he would be pleased to get the Christian world to remove one commandment. He probably had no idea that he would be successful in accomplishing both of his goals. Look friend, God is going to save those who are SAFE to save. In eternity, sin will not rear its ugly head a second time. That's why God cannot save those who learn that they are violating His law and choose to remain in the churches who cling to traditions contrary to God's law. The most fearful warning given in the Bible is directed to those who are in Babylon. Rev 14:8-11
"8. And there followed another angel, saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication. 9. And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, 10. The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb: 11. And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name."
However verse 11 is followed by the blessed people of God verses 12-13
"12. Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.
13. And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them."
Next it is important to establish what is God's will for our lives. The answer is simple and it is in the Bible. David said it in Psalm 40:8
"8. I delight to do thy will, O my God: yea, thy law is within my heart."
David has summarized how we may come in to conformance with the will of God. Some have sported bumper stickers, which seem to indicate that the way you show your love for Jesus, would be merely by a honk of the horn. Jesus made it crystal clear how we prove our love for God, as He stated in John 14:15
"15. If ye love me, keep my commandments."
Jesus is God. He was with God in creation. He was the active part of the Godhead in creation. He created man. He was the pillar of fire at night and the cloud that followed them by day. It was He on Mt. Sinai who wrote the 10 commandments on stone. The prophet said He would magnify the law and make it honorable. And so in magnifying the law, the 10 commandments He taught that lust is adultery and hate is murder. He also made the Sabbath honorable by removing the restrictions heaped upon it that turned the Sabbath into a burden. He said He did not come to destroy the law, but to fulfill. And fulfill the righteous requirements he did. He gave us an example to live by and keeping God's 10 commandments are the way to happiness and eternal life. We do not keep the 10 commandments to be saved, but because we are saved.

So what are the 6 commandments that most of the Christians in the world are breaking today?
Satan has skillfully engineered the breach in God's law by the abrogation of the fourth commandment of God. Now listen with your understanding. How you handle the remainder of this letter can determine your eternal destiny.
Since creation, the seventh day Sabbath has always been Saturday and will continue to be throughout eternity. Sunday has always been the first day of the week and there is nothing sacred about the day. Any sacredness applied to it has its roots in paganism.
The Bible clearly backs up the above statements. Let's turn to it for proof. Gen. 2:1-3
"1. Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them. 2. And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made. 3. And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made."
After 6 literal days of evening and morning creation, God had ended His work and did three things. He rested. He blessed the seventh day. He sanctified it (set it apart for holy use). What happens to something God blesses? 1 Chron 17:27
"27. Now therefore let it please thee to bless the house of thy servant, that it may be before thee for ever: for thou blessest, O LORD, and it shall be blessed for ever.

Remember, the Sabbath was made before sin entered the world. In fact the seventh day Sabbath and marriage are the only two institutions that came from Eden that are practiced today.
The seventh day Sabbath is not a Jewish Sabbath. It is no more Jewish than marriage is. It was created more than 2000 years before there was a Jew. It is in every respect the only Christian Sabbath for Christ Himself made it. Just as He rested on the seventh day from His work of creation, so He rested in the tomb on the Sabbath from His work of Redemption. He died on the preparation day, the 6th day, commonly called Good Friday. He arose on Sunday, the first day of the week, but never had He given any authority to change His holy Sabbath. See Luke 23:52-24:1
"52. This man went unto Pilate, and begged the body of Jesus. 53. And he took it down, and wrapped it in linen, and laid it in a sepulchre that was hewn in stone, wherein never man before was laid. 54. And that day was the preparation, and the sabbath drew on. 55. And the women also, which came with him from Galilee, followed after, and beheld the sepulchre, and how his body was laid. 56. And they returned, and prepared spices and ointments; and rested the sabbath day according to the commandment.
1. Now upon the first day of the week, very early in the morning, they came unto the sepulchre, bringing the spices which they had prepared, and certain others with them."

There is no scriptural authority for any change in God's Sabbath. It remains Saturday the seventh day. Jesus is the testator of the new Testament, it is sealed with His blood. If there was to be any change in the Sabbath, He would had to have made it before His death. His will therefore is that His people keep holy the seventh day Sabbath according to the commandment. Let's look closely at the 4th commandment found in Exodus 20:8-11.
"8. Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. 9. Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work: 10. But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: 11. For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it."
Verse 9 says clearly that six days we are to labor. That means Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. We are commanded by God to work on Sunday. Verse 11 points us back to creation. Jesus nailed the law contained in ordinances and found in the law of Moses, to the cross. The ceremonial laws and Sabbaths pointed to Christ and the cross and ended at the cross. But the seventh day Sabbath points us back to creation and forward into eternity. Isaiah 66:22,23.
"22. For as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make, shall remain before me, saith the LORD, so shall your seed and your name remain. 23. And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and from one sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me, saith the LORD."
So what happened? How and when did the Sabbath get changed to Sunday and does it make a difference which day we keep holy?
There are only 8 first day scriptural references in all of the New Testament and none show any evidence of the change of the Sabbath. In fact all through the book of Acts, the apostles kept the Sabbath.
The early Christian church kept the seventh day Sabbath into the fourth century and beyond. It was when the pagan emperor Constantine became a Christian and used his influence with the Bishops at Rome that the church adopted the pagan day of worship Sunday, with the lame excuse that Jesus rose on Sunday. Many of the tens of thousands of pagans changed the idols they worshiped from the gods and goddesses of the pagan world to statues and idols of Mary, Joseph, Peter, Paul, etc. The Roman church then deleted the commandment that forbid worship of idols, moved the other commandments up one notch and split the 10th in two. Pagan Rome gave way to Papal Rome and the transition from Sabbath to Sunday evolved over the next two hundred years. Satan achieved his goal.
The Protestant churches began splitting with the Roman church in the 16th century and stood on the foundation of the Bible and the Bible only. Yet they continued to embrace the false Sabbath that the Catholic Church declares she had instituted.

But God declares through His prophet Isaiah in chapter 58:1,12-14.
"1. Cry aloud, spare not, lift up thy voice like a trumpet, and show my people their transgression, and the house of Jacob their sins."
"12. And they that shall be of thee shall build the old waste places: thou shalt raise up the foundations of many generations; and thou shalt be called, The repairer of the breach, The restorer of paths to dwell in.
13. If thou turn away thy foot from the sabbath, from doing thy pleasure on my holy day; and call the sabbath a delight, the holy of the LORD, honourable; and shalt honour him, not doing thine own ways, nor finding thine own pleasure, nor speaking thine own words: 14. Then shalt thou delight thyself in the LORD; and I will cause thee to ride upon the high places of the earth, and feed thee with the heritage of Jacob thy father: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it."

We are to CRY ALOUD and SPARE NOT. We are to tell God's people their transgression. We are to be the Repairers of the Breach, by restoring the Biblical seventh day Sabbath to its rightful place in God's law. God wants all His people to take their foot off of His holy day and honor it once again.

We read in Revelation that the remnant church will be commandment keepers. That includes the 4th commandment 7th day Sabbath. That is God's will. You need only choose whom you will serve. Will it be with God's seventh day Sabbath keeping people or will it be with the majority of the Christian world who honor the counterfeit sabbath made by man, inspired by Satan?
Sunday is pagan tradition, carried on by the Roman church and embraced by the daughters of Rome, Protestantism. God's law or tradition? Jesus asked the people of His day the following: Matthew 15:3-9
"3. But he answered and said unto them, Why do ye also transgress the commandment of God by your tradition? 4. For God commanded, saying, Honour thy father and mother: and, He that curseth father or mother, let him die the death. 5. But ye say, Whosoever shall say to his father or his mother, It is a gift, by whatsoever thou mightest be profited by me; 6. And honour not his father or his mother, he shall be free. Thus have ye made the commandment of God of none effect by your tradition. 7. Ye hypocrites, well did Esaias prophesy of you, saying, 8. This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me. 9 But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.
In this case it was regarding the 5th commandment, but the question involves any of God's commandments that man has tampered with and created a tradition in conflict with God's expressed command.
He says this people are confessing me, but their hearts are far from me. He calls worship of man made traditions in vain.
He calls the church leaders who uphold tradition over God's commandments, the blind leading the blind. Verse 14.
"14. Let them alone: they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch."
Let's look again at what Jesus said in Matthew 5:17-19. Look and listen with your understanding.
"17. Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. 18. For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. 19. Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven."

He is saying in verse 17 that He did not come to do away with the law, but to fulfill it's requirements. In verse 18 He states that every part of the law including the dotting of i's and the crossing of t's will remain until this earth passes. Hasn't happened yet. Then He warns in verse 19 that whoever breaks one of the commandments and teaches people that it is okay to disregard God's commandments will be called the least in heaven. That means commandment breakers and teachers of false doctrine will not be there. They will take their place with liars in the lake of fire. We are warned in scripture that we are to let no man steal our crown. The Bible is clear and if we turn to a pastor and are counselled to reject what the scripture says regarding the Sabbath, we must reject the pastor or be among the blind who follow the blind into a ditch.

So, what are the 6 sins most Christians are committing on a regular basis?

1. Commandment #4- Remember to keep the 7th day Sabbath holy. Remember means don't forget!
Commandment #4 Broken!
Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work: But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it. Ex. 20:8-11

2. Commandment #1- You shall have no other gods before Me. If you choose to keep holy the pagan first day of worship, then man, rather than God, is the god you worship. Commandment #1 Broken!
I am the LORD thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. Thou shalt have no other gods before me. Ex. 20:2,3

3. Commandment #2- If you continue to embrace Sunday sacredness then it is the idol that you bow down to. You shall not bow down to idols. Anything that robs God of your worship is an idol. Sunday sacredness is only a likeness of God's Sabbath, but it is just a counterfeit! Commandment #2 Broken!
Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth: Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me; And showing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments. Ex. 20:4-6

4. Commandment #3- You should not take the name of the Lord your God in vain. Jesus said that tradition over commandment is worship in vain. Commandment #3 Broken!
Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain; for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain. Ex. 20:7

5. Commandment #7- Committing adultery Unfaithfulness to God is Spiritual adultery. The world wide mother church of Revelation is called a great whore because she has been unfaithful to God, changing his law by removing one commandment and changing God's Sabbath day from Saturday to Sunday. She is called the mother of harlots because her daughters that sprung from her continue the unfaithfulness of Sunday sacredness. Satan has powerfully deceived the whole world. Wake up. God's Spirit is striving with you to understand the gross darkness that covers Christendom. Commandment #7
Thou shalt not commit adultery. Ex. 20:14

6. Commandment #9- Bearing false witness. Lying in any form, especially spreading false doctrine is a violation of the ninth commandment. Commandment #9 Broken!
Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour. Ex. 20:16

If we look again at James 2:10 "Whoever shall keep the whole law, and yet stumble in one point, he is guilty of all", it would be safe to conclude that not keeping the 4th commandment means we really are guilty of breaking 10 instead of 6.

A new reader has suggested that when we fail to keep God's 4th commandment we do break the other 4 commandments as well. We dishonor our Father in heaven by rejecting the 7th day Sabbath. (Commandment #5). If we are lost, it has been our choice. Sin will not raise its ugly head again, therefore God can only save those who are safe to save. Reject a commandment of God and we reject God's gift and therefore we are guilty of killing our eternal life as well as those who may be within our influence. (Commandment #6). By embracing Sunday sacredness we steal honor which belongs to God. (Commandment #8) These are Spiritual sins against God and certainly to covet Sunday over God's Sabbath is a violation of Commandment #10. By rejecting God's Sabbath Satan indeed puts us in a position where we do break all 10.

Solomon said in Ecclesiastes 12:13 "Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter; Fear God and keep His commandments, For this is the whole duty of man.

Now look carefully at Proverbs 28:9 and hear with your understanding the warning God has issued to His people
"9 He that turneth away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer shall be abomination."
Do not treat lightly the truth you have learned today from God's word.

You may say this is new to me. I never heard this before. It was God's Spirit that led you to this truth. But you have an important decision to make.

God's people in Elijah's time were Baal worshippers and did not realize the magnitude of their error. But when confronted with truth, they were told to choose you this day whom you will serve. Who is the supreme object of your worship. God is calling His people out of Babylon NOW. Jesus is coming soon for His faithful commandment keeping people.

You may say I have a lovely church and I love my pastor. We have a great choir and wonderful programs and activities. Churches and pastors and choirs and programs do not save. If Sunday is embraced, worship is in vain.

You may say but I have had evidence in my life that God answers prayers and He has worked miracles for us through intercessory prayer.
Yes God loves all of His people and His Spirit will strive with mankind until probation ends, He answers prayers and every attempt is being made by God to bring you to a full understanding of His truth. Now you know the truth of the Sabbath and you are responsible for it. If you reject God's Sabbath and cling to Satan's spurious sabbath Sunday, you reject God's mercy and gift. Stand on the side of truth and be saved.

You may say that I must discuss this with my pastor.
He has already dealt with the Sabbath issue and embracing Sunday he has cast his lot, but it is not with God.

You may say, "Well you can keep Saturday for your Sabbath if you so choose and I will choose Sunday".
My brother or sister Christian, that is a choice neither one of us can make. God made the choice for us. Our only choice is to keep God's law by keeping His Sabbath, or choosing to violate God's law by desecrating His Sabbath and keeping the sabbath (Sunday) made by man. God's law or man's tradition? Obedience or rebellion. Christ or Satan? It's one or the other. There are no other choices.

Friend, there is one mighty movement in the Protestant realm ordained of God, that keeps the seventh day Sabbath. It is the fastest growing church in the world. That is the Seventh Day Adventist Church. Out of the 230 some countries in the world, they currently are spreading God's word and the three angels messages of Revelation, in about 220 of those countries. No other denomination has a presence in even 100 countries. Their Adventist World Radio blankets the globe. The gospel is being preached in all the world.

Remember Jesus said as the days of Noah were, so shall it be when He comes. Everyone, except 8 souls, sided with the majority and rejected the warnings and were lost. In God's clock, the animals are boarding the ark, will you come on board, or will you side with the majority. The only way to be safe to be saved is following Jesus and by loving Him. He said, "If you love Me, keep My commandments."

In this web site you will find more information about many more doctrines taught in most Christian churches that contradict the pure truth of the gospel. We deal with those subjects as well as proving with God's word, the real truth.
God bless you as you make your decisions for Christ.
