Big Elk Park Trailride
July 9, 2005

We rode in a beautiful park, had a great group of riders, and an enjoyable ride.

We began the afternoon playing horsemanship games. It was fun to challenge ourselves and our horses.

Mark Lyon and his horse, Copper, on the box.
After a dinner of Indian Tacos we headed north along the Missouri River.

The group stopped to hear legends of Jesse James, river bandits and buried treasure along the bluff known as Robber's Cave or Hole in the Rock.
We took a break and enjoyed the view at Holy Fireplace.
The park has cabins for rent, tent cabining, electricity and water.

Check back for dates for a fall ride!

Happy Trails!
