Holiday Spirit Week underwritten by Reliant Credit Union is Dec. 3rd thru Dec. 14th. The festivities start with the Chamber Open House on Wednesday, Dec. 3rd from 5-7pm. Refreshments will be served. Shop around, Dine Around and Visit Around cards are free and can be picked up at the Chamber Office at 199 Van Buren Street. As you visit each establishment, present your card to be stamped. When you have your cards filled out, return to the Chamber office where cards for each catagory will be drawn for prizes. Prizes will be awarded for a full card, a card with 3-5 visits and 2 visits.
RPO Holiday Performance is Thursday, December 4th at Newark High School at 7:30 pm. Tickets are $10 Adults, $8 SeniorCitizens/Students.
A pasta dinner at the school will run from 5-7pm, Adults $7, Child $5 (5-10) An ‘After Concert Dessert” will be held immediately following the concert outside the auditorium. Decadent Desserts $2, Beverage $1. Tickets for the Concert and Pasta Dinner are available at Wegman’s Newark, Community Bank, the High School or the Chamber Office. Limited tickets available at the door.

The Chamber Holiday Luncheon will be held Wednesday, December 10th at noon at the Alec Eligh Community Center. Cost is $8.00. Those attending are asked to bring a non-perishible item(s) for the food pantry. The High School Sax Ensemble will entertain. Door prizes would be welcome. Please RSVP by Dec. 8th 331-2705.
Community Tree Lighting begins at Central Park, Friday Dec. 5th at 6:30pm. Festive songs by the High School Chorus start the event as Mayor Peter Blandino lights the tree to start the holiday season.Chamber member Carolyn Leach of Kaeser & Blair is MC for the event. Santa arrives by firetruck and enjoys the mome3nt then leads all present to the Community Center for refreshments and pizza provided by Domino's pizza. Santa will visit with each child. Children's activities include balloon sculptures and face paintiing.
