Nebraska Made and Grown Products are on display and for sale at the Northeast Nebraska RC&D, in Plainview. The RC&D has been working to help promote Nebraska products. The variety of talents and ingenuity in our state is awesome. We have so many wonderful and healthy products right here, we don't have to rely on products trucked hundreds of miles. We can help support our own communities by buying local and keeping the dollars close to home.
Everything a person could need or want in the way of healthy foods is available in Nebraska. A person can choose farm-fresh eggs, milk, beef, pork, buffalo, goat, sheep or poultry that can be bought straight off the farm or at a farmers' market. Many stores are now carrying local products. There are wonderful sauces, salsas, relishes, jams and jellies made all season long. Fresh produce, usually picked that morning, is available at the local farmers' market or from your neighborhood community garden. As far as gifts, the list is endless. The following is a list of items available at the RC&D office.

More and more people are diversifying their businesses to be able to stay on the family farm. The RC&D is continually looking for people and products of Nebraska to promote. Farm to Family Connection Receives Kellogg Grant -- If you know the farmer who raises your food, then you know your food. Northeast Nebraska RC&D of Plainview NE has initiated a new project called Farm to Family Connection that will promote locally raised food and farm products to consumers and institutions and study innovation ways of raising awareness of food grown in the area.
