The NOVA Foundation is pleased to announce the William S. Bergman Memorial Research Grant. The NOVA Foundation is committed to funding nursing research in the VA that impacts the health of veterans. Funding is available for projects related to developing better ways to diagnose, treat, and prevent infectious or immunologic disease in veterans. Pilot projects, dissertations or master's theses will be considered. Applications should demonstrate adequate support for successful completion of projects.

The submission deadline is March 1, 2007. Proposals must include all information requested in the guidelines on this date or they will not be considered for funding.

All Nurse Investigators who hold a VA appointment of at least 5/8 time are eligible to apply. Applicants are not required to be NOVA members, but membership is encouraged. Co-investigators, consultants and support staff may be non-VA employees. Proposals will undergo review for scientific merit and responsiveness to this announcement.
