Cheryl Knowles, RN, MSN, HNC is the Women Veterans Program Manager (WVPM) at the VA Healthcare Upstate New York at Bath, and is the Lead WVPM for Network 2. She serves as an educator, advocate, clinician, marketer and manager in her WVPM role.
Cheryl began work in the nursing field in 1973 and entered into the VA workforce in 1983 as a Licensed Practical Nurse. She was selected for an upward mobility program in 1987, receiving an Associate in Applied Science degree in nursing from Alfred State College in 1989, graduating Magna Cum Laude; then receiving her Bachelors of Science in Nursing degree in 2001 from Roberts Wesleyan College, graduating Summa Cum Laude, and receiving her Masters in Nursing degree in 2007 from University of Phoenix. She is a past recipient of the NOVA Foundation Education Scholarship. In January 2004, she received the Fourth Annual WVPM New Millennium Recognition award for exemplary performance in furthering the mission of the Department of Veteran Affairs in women veterans healthcare.
