Larry Lemos, RN, MSN, MHA, APRN-BC is a geriatric clinical nurse specialist for the Geriatrics, Rehabilitation Medicine, and Extended Care Healthcare Group at the VA Long Beach Healthcare System. He has been in the VA system for 14 years and has worked at 4 VA facilities in California. He has worked as a nurse educator, nurse manager, and CNS at the Greater Los Angeles, as a CNS at the Palo Alto Healthcare System, and as a staff nurse, CNS, and a nurse manager at the San Francisco VA Medical Center.

Larry received his Bachelors degree in Nursing from the University of San Francisco in 1990, a Masters Degree in Nursing as a geriatric CNS from the University of California San Francisco in 1994, and a Masters Degree in Healthcare Administration from Golden Gate University in 2002. He is certified as a CNS in the State of California and holds national certification as a clinical specialist in gerontological nursing from the American Nurses Association. He holds a faculty appointment at UCSF School of Nursing in the department of physiological nursing and at Mount. St. Mary’s College in Los Angeles.

Larry has been an active member of local NOVA chapters since 1998. He was elected as a Director to the National NOVA Board in 2003 and appointed as Secretary in 2004. He was elected in 2005 as Secretary and in 2007 was elected Vice President.
