Mary Montufar, RN, MS (President 2008-2010) Mary, a VA nurse since 1982, has served as Secretary and Vice President of NOVA Chapter 129. Her VA career includes roles as a manager and clinical specialist on the SCI service, and for the last 9 years she has been a clinical application coordinator, a position that provides contact with VA nurses in many varied roles throughout the medical center. Gigi (Natividad) Beckner, RN (Secretary 2007-2009) Gigi began her VA career at the Bronx VA in 1987 and came to Palo Alto VA in 1987. She has worked in MSICU and in the Ambulatory Infusion Center (AIC). Contact: Natividad.Beckner@va.gov

Mary Lou Faustina, MS, RN (Treasurer 2008-2010) Mary Lou began her career at the Palo Alto VAMC in 1986, first as a staff nurse and then as a nurse manager for two psychiatry units for 9 years. She has been a Clinical Applications Coordinator since 2001. A member of NOVA since beginning her VA career, Mary Lou has served on the Board of Directors for Chapter 129 and now brings her attention to detail to the office of chapter Treasurer. Ann Narciso, RN, MPH (President 2006-2008) Ann has been a VA nurse since 1983 and a member of the VA Palo Alto Health Care System in 1989. Her extensive nursing experience includes Surgical Intensive Care Unit, Nursing Manager of Outpatient Surgery Service and the San Jose Community Based Outpatient Clinic. Karen Blair, MS, RN, CNS, CRRN (Director 2008-2010) Karen started her VA career in 2000 after several years as a Rehabilitation CNS at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center. Now CNS for the SCI inpatient program, Karen anticipates the networking opportunities and promoting the role of the professional nurse that service on the NOVA Chapter Board offers. Christine Camp, RN (Director 2007-2009) Christine has been in the VA for 12.5 years. As an LVN, she spent five years working with Veterans with Spinal Cord Injury patients and then spent an additional seven years in Ambulatory Care. Now an RN and a member of the ECS nursing staff on Ward 4C, she welcomes the opportunity to make a larger impact on the care of Veteran patients. Contact: Christine.Camp@va.gov

Susan Dunn, RNP (Director 2008-2010) Susan came to the VA in 2000 with extensive experience in ICU, long term and community care. An Army Nurse Corps and Vietnam Veteran, her first love has been working with elderly veterans in Extended Care/Bldg. 324 at Menlo Park. She also is a longstanding member of ANA, AANP, and active member of CANP. Wanda E. Tacey, BSN, MSN (Director 2008-2010) Wanda started her VA career in February, 2003 as the Community Health Nurse Coordinator. She has over 30 years experience in nursing (22 years of that in community health in Santa Clara Valley) and is also a certified Lamaze Childbirth Educator. Wanda joined NOVA shortly after starting her VA career and has served as a board member since 2006. She has enjoyed the opportunity to represent and support VA nurses.
