Benefits of NOVA Membership
Major Lobbying Power -- NOVA gives nurses the opportunities to be involved in the political process.

Annual Meeting -- The NOVA Annual Meeting is held in a different city each year. Bi-annually it convenes in Washington, DC where participants meet with Congressional delegations, officials from the Department of Veterans Affairs and colleagues from across the country to convey their ideas and issues related to the healthcare of America's veterans.

News from NOVA -- Published quarterly with updates from NOVA leadership, NOVA legislative liaisons and the NOVA Foundation.

Networking -- Meet nurses from other areas of your hospital.

Stay Informed -- Get the latest news on www.vanurse.org

Types of Membership
"Active" membership is open to any Registered Nurse currently employed full-time, part-time, and/or on intermittent status by the VA. Dues are $90 annually.

"Associate" membership is open to any Registered Nurse retired from the VA. Dues are $50 annually.

"Local" membership is open to any Registered Nurse currently employed full-time, part-time, and/or on intermittent status by the VA. Local dues are $25 annually. NOTE: to belong locally you must pay national dues of $90.

Local membership supports local chapter quarterly meetings, educational events and strengthens communication with local facility director and top management. Local membership dues help Chapter 129 remain an effective educational resource and advocate for VAPAHCS nurses.

How to Join
To join as a national member of NOVA, you can submit your application and charge national membership dues using your MasterCard or Visa online (www.vanurse.org/application); or by downloading the application at this link: download application.
