“VA Nursing: A Revolutionary Experience”

CALL FOR POSTER PRESENTATIONS!

All Nurses, Nursing Students and Other Health Care Professionals . . . are invited to share creative nursing care approaches, research finds, clinical innovations or student projects with your colleagues on Friday, April 11.

Poster proposals must be submitted no later than March 12, 2008 – and should be emailed to Sharon Johnson at the VA Maryland Healthcare System at sharon.johnson6@va.gov, with a copy to Susan Dove at NOVA Headquarters, sdove@vanurse.org, to be considered.

The proposal narrative should be no more than 200 words, identifying the specific topic to be addressed and providing a summary of the essential points the presenter wishes to communicate on the subject. The proposal should include all authors’ names and credentials as well as appropriate contact information. Each submission will be reviewed for the following elements: quality, broad appeal to the nursing community, creativity, timeliness and uniqueness.

Posters will be on display during the 2008 Annual Meeting on Friday, April 11. At least one author MUST be registered for the Annual Meeting and available to answer questions about the poster presentation.

Those submitting poster proposals will be notified by March 28 regarding acceptance of your poster.

Posters must avoid commercialism, promotion and advertising. Statements made in posters are the sole responsibility of the author/presenter and should not be viewed as, or considered representative of, any formal stance or position taken on any subject, issue or product by NOVA.
