Sharon Simpson, RN, BSN, MSN has the following credentials:
· Registered Nurse (RN) from Mercy Central School of Nursing, Grand Rapids, Mich.
· Baccalaureate of Science in Nursing (BSN) from University of Phoenix in Tucson, Az.
· Masters of Science in Nursing (MSN) from University of Phoenix Online

During her 37 year VA nursing career, she has worked in psychiatry, medicine, geriatrics, neurology, critical care, and emergency nursing. She served two and a half years in the Army Nurse Corps, was discharged honorably from the Army in 1971, and then was employed as a psychiatric nurse for 12 years at the Northport VA Hospital in Northport, NY. In 1981 she moved to Tucson, transferred to SAVAHCS, and has been employed there ever since. Sharon is currently employed as a staff nurse in the Telephone Anticoagulation Clinic. She is guided by protocols and work with an assigned panel of patients to monitor their blood work and adjust their warfarin (coumadin) doses. She is also responsible for providing staff and patient anticoagulation education.
