Throughout her high school years, Jessica was very involved in many activities. She served as student body secretary and historian. She lettered in varsity swimming all four years and was team captain her senior year. She was also a member of the National Honor Society and the Community Service Club.
Jessica was a National Merit Scholar and graduated in the Top 20 of her class of 752 students at Red Mountain High School. In the fall, she will be attending Arizona State as part of the Barrett Honors College, majoring in journalism, with a minor in political science. Jessica's father is employed by Desert Extrusion Corporation in Phoenix, Arizona.

"I just wanted to say thank you and let you know how extremely grateful I am for the generous scholarship. I am honored to be chosen, as I am sure there were many worthy applicants. I was so excited to find out I received the scholarship, and I cannot wait to put the money to good use next year, continuing my education at Arizona State University. I truly appreciate it and know that this scholarship will help me to achieve my goals. Thank you so much."
