Since 1999 OSSO has helped thousands of volunteers give nearly a million hours of meaningful service in Ecuador’s orphanages. We have a very close relationship with the orphanages and have full-time local staff available 24 hours/day in both Cuenca and Quito.

We provide two types of volunteers who serve in the orphanages. At any given time we have about 26-28 North American long-term volunteers who are in Ecuador serving for two and a half months; mixed in with these long-term volunteers, we often have volunteers who serve 3-14 days. We’ve helped an average of almost 300 Americans per year give approximately 100,000 hours of service per year in the orphanages.
