History
Jeff Pitzer formed his own law firm in Portland, Oregon in January 2002, after nearly 12 years at Chicago's Jenner & Block, a 400-lawyer national litigation powerhouse perenially ranked by the American Lawyer as one of the country's twenty most elite firms. Mr. Pitzer obtained a bachelors degree in chemistry from the University of Kansas in 1986, and earned his law degree, cum laude, from the University of Wisconsin in 1990. Mr. Pitzer launched his career at Jenner & Block in 1990, and became a full equity partner there in 1997.

Rather than a salaried staff of associate attorneys with minimum billable hours requirements, Mr. Pitzer relies upon a seasoned pool of highly-skilled contract lawyers who are available on an as-needed basis to provide targeted assistance. Included among the attorneys Mr. Pitzer works with are former in-house counsel from some of Oregon's largest corporations, and former partners of some of Portland's largest law firms.
