MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING OF THE
CITY COUNCIL OF PLEASANT VIEW CITY, UTAH
March 21, 2006

Meeting was called to order at 7:00 P.M.

BUSINESS:
1. Fill the unexpired term of the office of mayor until January 2008.
Tim Wheelwright submitted his name for the appointment and turned the meeting over to CM Call to conduct. CM Call expressed his appreciation for the work Mayor Michael Wright did. CM Call explained that Tim Wheelwright was the only applicant for the interim Mayor position. A public hearing was set for the appointment and a filing period closed on March 10, 2005.
Motion was made by CM Clifford to accept the application of Tim Wheelwright to be the interim Mayor. 2nd by CM Bailey. Voting was unanimous in favor.
Mayor Wheelwright: this is a real honor. I didn't want it to happen this way. I have a lot of respect for Michael Wright, and it is a big loss. He put in a lot of time and effort in behalf of all of us. He has set a legacy, and I will carry it forward. He thanked all his colleagues, wife and family, staff, and the citizens.
2. Set the procedure to fill the vacancy on the city council.
Motion was made by CM Call to set April 7, 2006 at 5:00 PM as the deadline to file for the vacancy and April 11, 2006 as the public hearing to appoint the vacancy. 2nd by CM Bailey. Voting was unanimous in favor.
Other Business:
Ron Kusina: I have a proposal regarding the Pleasant View Business Park, but there is more new data that will affect it. He will update the proposal with the new data and get it to the council.
