BUSINESS:
1. Oath of Office and welcome Mayor Wheelwright.
Judge Lambert administered the oath of office to Mayor Tim Wheelwright.
Comments or Questions:
Mayor Wheelwright and CM Humphreys took comments and questions from the public. Mayor Wheelwright expressed his desire to promote citizen involvement and participation Many citizens expressed their support of the new mayor, and many pledged their willingness to help and support the city. Mayor Wheelwright updated the public on the process on filling the vacancy on the city council. He noted that tonight's agenda items will be heard on April 4, 2006 beginning at 7:00 P.M. He gave a brief history and update on the gravel pit/truck travel issue and said that the city is considering all options. The city is increasing patrol on 500 W with brake checks and no shifting for the trucks. The public asked to consider more patrolling on 500 W and 1100 W, reducing the speed limit on 500 W, clearing the traffic on Weber High Dr and 500 W, opening the driving range on the weekends for parking of athletic programs, and the need for sidewalks on 600 W and Pleasant View Drive. Many were interested in serving on committees
