Still Valley Tunnel
The Central Railroad of NJ ran over the top of this tunnel. The railroad construction began in 1836, took 16 years, and was originally conceived as direct competition for the Morris Canal. The railroad corridor is now identified by NJ as the Central RR of NJ Mainline Historic District.
