Great Site Award
www.ApplehillEyeCenter.com
The winner of our first EZ-NetTools™ Great Site Award is ApplehillEyeCenter.com. Alan Robezzoli is the reseller who accepted the task of giving the Apple Hill Eye Center a warm yet professional look for its web site. I asked Alan what tools he used to create the site's unique graphics.

Alan replied, "The main tool I used to create the graphics for the site is Ulead's Photo Impact 5.

The tool provides great flexibility to manipulate the text and graphics quickly, allowing many 'what if' iterations until settling on one that felt right for a logo for a medical Web site. I created the Apple Hill 'eye' using Corel Draw because of its ease of use in creating free form graphics."

When I asked about the difficulties that this particular site may have presented, Alan told me that organizing the content was the biggest problem.

Alan continues, "The text that was provided by Apple Hill contained over 30 pages of single-spaced 10-point type, so this was a daunting task! Achieving a friendly feel meant keeping each page short, with lots of links allowing the user to drill down, or to click to advance to the next (or prior) page. It also meant displaying a variety of photos and graphics to add life to a highly technical subject. Creating this site was exhausting, but the results were well worth the effort! Thanks for recognizing it as a great site!"

The part that we liked best here at ICServ was the header graphic. It's colorful, interesting, yet not overpowering. The site is appealing and deals well with a large amount of information.

Congratulations on a job well done, Al!
