Reseller In A Fishbowl
Carl Owen
Reseller
I don't know how many people have told me that they do not believe the Internet will help them in their business. However, if I can get them to listen and invest a little time with me, I can generally show them how the Internet can help them

Some people are still reluctant to buy or put their business on the web because of all the failures of Dot Com companies. They are afraid that I will be another casualty of the Internet. This is a real concern that we resellers need to overcome.

I have found that patience and hard work in the end will pay big dividends. I am really enjoying my work as a reseller of EZ-NetTools™ and the work I do with all the good folks at ICServ Inc. I truly believe they want each of us to succeed and prosper in what we are doing.

Week 18
I have waited for some time to get my hands on the brochure "How to Succeed on the Internet" that Kip and staff have put together. It's a great looking brochure, and I am in the process of sending one more piece of information out to my potential clients. The hardest part for me is to decide what to put in the letter to prompt them to read the brochure and become interested in what I have to offer. With the letter complete it is now time to stuff the envelopes. What a task this is. I mailed out over 1600 brochures to businesses in our area, and I am excited to see what response we get from it.

Week 19
This week I got some good news. I have been working with the City of Rexburg to give their web site a face-lift. I was able to give them a fair price and get the project. It will be a great project to work on. However with all the activity I have going on I did not have the time to do the work, so I turned to Team ICServ to give me a hand. I was able to sell the City on our tools because they wanted something that they could maintain and do much of the work on themselves, and yet have support to do much of the creation. After being awarded the project I met with them to discuss the header, color and the details and they wanted much more than what I had originally bid in the web site. I told them we could do what they wanted but it would cost more. I redid the bid and the site is now nearly finished. Team ICServ has done a great job in helping me with this one. If you are interested, the URL for this site is www.ci.rexburg.id.us.

Week 20
It is time to follow up on the brochure mailing. I enlisted help to do this. My game plan was to have someone call each business that I sent a brochure to and ask them if I could give them a free non-obligatory consultation. I put together the format for the questions, got a young man named Wes to schedule appointments, then we spent some time going over script and role playing how Wes would make the calls. He did a great job. In the first day Wes made 54 calls and set up 4 consultations. Three of these have taken or will take advantage of what we have to offer. (Jumping ahead a few weeks, Wes has now set up 25 appointments and the number grows daily. With this approach we are getting a 6 to 7 percent positive response for consultations.) I have been able to secure several paid listings with RexburgOnline.com, have started 2 additional web sites and have many good leads of businesses that are looking into web sites for themselves. I feel that this has been a very successful campaign. Click here to view a copy of the script.

Week 21
This week has been a week of activity in our community. The Parent Student Organization at the local high school has been working on a project to beautify the school grounds. I have been working with them to advertise and promote the project with information on RexburgOnline.com. In return they advertised the directory as a place where people could get the information about the project. As the project was completed I put before and after pictures on the web. Many people have commented on the usefulness of this and it has really helped me gain respect and credibility in the community. I have received many positive comments from the community about our web site. I feel that some of my hard work and perseverance is paying off.

Much more is going on here at EZ-OnlineSolutions™ than what I have written here. I am finding myself very busy and am more certain than ever that being an Internet consultant can be a very successful business. However, it does take a good deal of time, commitment and a willingness to learn. My sales and and Web Site Creation income is starting to look promising and Wes continues to get me appointments. May we all gain success as we move our businesses forward!
