Welcome Letter to Sunbirds

Dear Friends:

Each summer it is so exciting to welcome the many familiar and friendly faces back to Rexburg. Our residents are truly delighted to see their friends return and have the opportunity to make new ones.

There are many fun things to do in our area. We are hoping you will join our community again or begin a new experience that we guarantee will become a tradition. Our days are warm but never too hot and our evenings are cool but never too cold! We have wonderful golf courses very reasonably priced, and exceptional fishing, hiking, biking, and tennis. Rexburg will be your hub for an entire summer's activities. West Yellowstone, Montana is just 1 1/2 hours to our north. Jackson Hole, Wyoming is just 1 1/2 hours to our east and beautiful Sun Valley, Idaho is just 2 1/2 hours to our west.

We are home to BYU-Idaho, whose campus offers an abundance of things for you to do throughout the summer. Arts, entertainment, educational classes, and walkng/jogging tracks are just a few of the opportunities available.

The Chamber of Commerce will be your headquarters for what's happening. We have trips and tours planned along with all the golf tournaments, festivals, rodeos, and the usual. We hope you will make Rexburg your summer home for 2007. We are a small town with a big heart!

We have been listed in both editions of Norman Cramptons, The 100 Best Small Towns in America and we have been chosen by the American Bus Association several times as one of the top 100 places to visit in North America because of our Idaho International Dance and Music Festival in August.

Looking forward to meeting you. Please, make our home your second home.

Sincerely,

Donna Benfield Signature
