Rose Festival StrongMan Presented by PowerHouse 24 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. At Ella Sharp Park Mini-Golf/Pool Parking Lot Area Chairperson, John Darling

In 2008, the Rose Festival was pleased to bring on board the North American Strongman. Jackson had never hosted this type of an event and for the first year, the promoters could not have been more pleased. Over 30 contestants signed up and a crowd of people attended to watch this exciting new event.
In past years, the Rose Festival hosted Mr. Rose City, a body building competition, but this is something totally different. The North American Strongman competition offers not only avid competitors from outside the area a chance to compete, but local amateurs as well.
For more information on the NAS, North America's premier governing body for amateur strongman athletes, go to their website at www.nastrongmaninc.com or you can also check out Motor City Fitness.
