Sarah’s Candy Cottage was founded in 1996 by Peter Swendsen and his daughter Sarah. Peter has been involved in the culinary industry most of his life. He has a passion for cooking and had the opportunity to open a candy store. In his past, he was a pastry chef which he enjoyed, however the rigourous hours were daunting. Since opening the candy store in 1996, Peter has created all of the recipes for over 60% of what is sold in the retail candy store. Some of his recipes date back from his great grandmothers. His passion for making wonderful culinary delights and confections is what makes our products so spectacular. His daughter and partner Sarah has a business degree and runs the daily operations of the retail store. Sarah’s specialties are packaging and retailing. Together they make an excellent team!!
