School District makes administration changes, Dreher is new KHS Associate Principal

06/11/2008 KEWASKUM- Less than a year on the job, Anne Ignatowski will leave her Associated Principal position at Kewaskum High School to move up the district’s administrative ladder. KMS teacher Kris Dreher will move over to KHS to replace Ignatowski starting July 1. These changes come in addition to a number of other administrative changes approved by The Board of Education Monday evening.MORE HERE

Dryer exhaust pipe cause of Boltonville fire

06/5/2008 BOLTONVILLE- A family escaped injury in a small basement fire at their home on Thursday, June 5 as they were able to safely evacuate their home on Scenic Drive in the small hamlet. A Boltonville firefighter didn’t however and received minor injuries after a fall.MORE HERE

05/22/2008 KEWASKUM-Elevating their efforts to new highs, three members of the Kewaskum High School boys track team and six from the school’s girls track team are at the WIAA Division 2 State Track and Field Meet in La Crosse.
The hardworking, talented crew of Indians earned berths in the state competition by placing among the top four in their specialties in the sectional meet hosted by Kewaskum last Thursday afternoon and evening.More

Lease for new school headquarters approved

05/02/2008 KEWASKUM-Over 87 voters turned out to hear a plan by the school district to lease 6,000 square feet of office space from Regal Ware, Inc. at a special meeting of the electorate on Monday, April 28. Electors voted 47 to 40 in favor of a $60,000 a year lease, not to exceed 10 years.More

Pesch is chosen to be new president
Fellow trustees appoint eldest member of the board

05/01/2008 KEWASKUM-Village trustees decided to choose one of their own to fulfill the seat of former Village President Matt Heiser. Andy Pesch is the new village president.
Pesch expressed his interest at the start of a special meeting held Thursday. He was quickly nominated by Trustee Harry Roecker and then Trustee Kevin Scheunemann.

Building and Grounds Committee gives Alternative School their seal of approval
Plans call for remodeling administration building into new school, moving offices to Regal Ware

03/3/2008 KEWASKUM- A plan to open an alternative school for high school students not fitting into the traditional school model received its first favorable nod at the school district’s building and grounds committee meeting on Monday, February 25. The new school is set to open in the district’s administration office building in fall. The district will then move their offices into a portion of Regal Ware’s office building across from the high school. More >

Village’s engineering firm Ruekert Mielke undercut by over $33,000

02/15/2008 KEWASKUM-The village board has decided to award a water relay project on Roseland and Braatz Drive to McMahon Associates of Neenah. The village’s designated engineering firm Ruekert Mielke, also submitted a bid for $43,309 in comparison to McMahon’s $10,000 proposal.More >
