Lewis H. "Bud" Schmidt

Lewis H. �Bud� Schmidt, 74, of Kewaskum, passed away on Thursday, August 28, 2008, at Hospice Home of Hope in Fond du Lac. He was born on October 28, 1933, in West Bend, the son of the late Louis and Gertrude (Blau) Schmidt. Bud was a 1951 graduate of West Bend High School and served his country in the U.S. Army for two years.

He married Evelyn Spartz on November 26, 1953 in Washington and together they raised six children. Bud was retired from A.O. Smith Company in Milwaukee where he worked as a tool and dye maker. He was the owner and operator of Schmidt Acres and provided horse drawn hayrides. Bud participated in the Circus World Museum parades in Milwaukee for many years with his horses.

On June 8, 2002, Bud was united in marriage to Karen Moersch in Potosi. The couple made their home in Potosi for three years before returning to the Kewaskum area. Bud will fondly be remembered for his love of horses and farming.

Survivors include his wife, Kare. Six children, Dean Schmidt of Campbellsport, W. Dan (Lisa) Schmidt of Oshkosh, Dawn McEwen of West Bend, Denise (Tom) Grudzielanek of Sheboygan, Darcell (Gilbert) Salm of Campbellsport and Deborah (Kevin) Rodenkirch of Kewaskum.

Five step-children, Chris (John) Harris of Kiel, Gary (Cindy) Lieffring of Lomira, Tim Lieffring of Watertown, Kate (Troy) Holzmann of Plymouth and Dan (Lisa) Lieffring of West Bend. A nephew, John �Jack� (Jean) Rieke of Kewaskum. A niece, Donna (Brian) Dowling of Oconomowoc
17 grandchildren, a great-granddaughter, 14 step-grandchildren and three step-great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.

Bud was preceded in death by a sister, Valeria Rieke and a daughter-in-law, Laura Schmidt.

Cremation has taken place. Graveside services, with military rites, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, September 1, 2008, at St. Matthias Catholic Cemetery in the town of Auburn.

Joyce E. Kempf

Joyce E. Kempf, 81, of West Bend, passed away on Wednesday, August 27, 2008, at Kathy Hospice in the town of Polk.

She was born on August 9, 1927, in West Bend, the daughter of the late Paul and Anita (Dreher) Dean, and on August 31, 1946, she was united in marriage to Henry Kempf at St. John Lutheran Church in New Fane. Joyce was a charter member of Pilgrim Lutheran Church in West Bend.

Those Joyce leaves behind include her loving husband, Henry. Five children, Diane (Robert) Swanson of West Bend, Sandra (Dr. Mark) Knutson of Dousman, Donna Roos of Fond du Lac, Terry (Sue) Kempf of Evansville and Christine (Glen) Soehrmann of Hubertus. A brother, Paul (Joan) Dean of Kewaskum. Two sisters-in-law, Rosie Dean of North Fond du Lac and Karen (Dale) Bell of West Bend, 11 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, Joyce was preceded in death by a son, Richard and two brothers, Lloyd and Tom Dean.

Funeral services for Joyce will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, August 30, 2008, at Pilgrim Lutheran Church in West Bend. Rev. Joseph Fisher and Rev. Christopher Raffa will officiate and burial will follow in Washington County Memorial Park in West Bend. Kenneth H. "Kenny" Campbell

Kenneth H. �Kenny� Campbell, 61, of Tampa Bay, Florida, formerly of Kewaskum, passed away on Friday, August 22, 2008, at St. Joseph�s Hospital in the town of Polk.

He was born on March 24, 1947, in West Bend, the son of Sylvester �Bud� and Ruth (Koenig) Campbell. Kenny had made his home in Tampa Bay for 20 years. He was an avid Tampa Bay Buccaneer and Wisconsin Badger fan. Kenny enjoyed playing sheepshead, cribbage and poker. He loved spending time with his family and friends and gardening. Kenny will be deeply missed by his family, his friends and by all who knew him.

Survivors include his mother, Ruth Campbell of Kewaskum, a sister, Judy Campbell of Kewaskum, a brother-in-law, Richard Klug of Cedarburg. His aunt, Ruth Senn of West Bend, Nieces and nephews, Michele (Jason) Oertel, Kim (Shawn) Gahan, Michael Klug, Alex Roeske, Ashley Roeske, Logan Oertel, Coleton Oertel and Carter Oertel, special friends, Lindy, Peggy, Connie, Mel and Charlene, other relatives and friends.

Kenny was preceded in death by his father and a sister, Kari Klug.

A Memorial Mass for Kenny will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, August 25, 2008, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Kewaskum with Father Edwin Kornath officiating. The family will receive visitors on Monday at the church from 4:00 p.m. until the time of Mass.

Edna G. Wilke

Edna G. Wilke, 92, of the town of Scott, passed away on Saturday, August 23, 2008, at the Plymouth Care Center in Plymouth.

She was born on July 9, 1916, in the town of Osceola, the daughter of the late John and Jessie (Parrett) Corbett, and on April 24, 1937, she was united in marriage to Arthur Wilke at St. Paul United Church of Christ in Silver Creek. Her husband preceded her in death on May 5, 1976. Edna was a member of New Horizon United Church of Christ in the town of Farmington.

Survivors include her daughter, Joyce (Andrew) Herriges of Adell Three grandchildren, Robert (Holly) Herriges, Vicki (Jim) Keller, Julie Herriges (special friend, Lois Malczewski) Six great-grandchildren, Cory (Kim) Herriges, Marshall Herriges, Chad LeClair (special friend, Laura), Tyler LeClair, Allison Keller and Jonathon Malczewski, a great-great-granddaughter, Mary Herriges, other relatives and friends.

In addition to her husband and parents, Edna was preceded in death by a brother, Lester Corbett and two sisters, Ethel Wendelborn and Mildred Krause.

Lorene "Jo" Giese

Lorene �Jo� Giese, 88, of Kewaskum, passed away on Friday, August 22, 2008, at Cedar Lake Health Care Center in the town of West Bend.

She was born on September 9, 1919, in Indiana, the daughter of the late Oliver and Emma (Miller) Fines, and on November 9, 1942, she was united in marriage to Paul Giese. Her husband preceded her in death on May 27, 2004.

Survivors include five children, James (Karen) Catozzi of Evansville, Paul (Debra) Giese of Reno, Nevada, Nancy (Jon) Reichel of Kewaskum, Beverly (David) Dittmar of Eagle River and Rose (Ray) Rustad of Amherst Junction 17 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, a great-great-granddaughter, other relatives and friends. In addition to her husband and parents, Jo was preceded in death by five brothers and three sisters.

A memorial service for Jo will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, August 29, 2008, at North New Hope Church in the town of New Hope with Pastor John Poffinbarger officiating. Cremation has taken place. Burial of the cremains will be in Central Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in King. The family will receive visitors at the church on Friday from noon until the time of services.

Daniel M. Dean

Daniel M. Dean, 43, of Ormond Beach, Florida, passed away on Friday, August 15, 2008, at his home.

He was born on May 13, 1965, the son of Paul and Joan (Miller) Dean, and he was a member of the 1983 Kewaskum High School class. Dan had made his home in Florida since 1985.

Geraldine C. Brettingen

Geraldine C. Brettingen, 81, of Kewaskum, passed away on Tuesday, August 12, 2008, at Beechwood Rest Home in Beechwood.

She was born on August 22, 1926, in Milwaukee, the daughter of the late August and Gertrude (Vandenberg) Hendriksen, and on August 23, 1947, she was united in marriage to Allen Brettingen in Wauwatosa.

Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Allen A son, Jeffrey (Christine) Brettingen of Kewaskum Two grandchildren, Nicholas Brettingen and Stefanie Brettingen, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Geraldine were held at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, August 15, 2008, at the Miller Funeral Home in Kewaskum. Rev. Floyd W. Smith

Floyd W. Smith, 77, of Lomira, passed away on Monday, August 11, 2008, at his home.

He was born on May 19, 1931, in the Town of Byron, the son of the late William (Wesley) and Elsie (Nichols) Smith, and on June 21, 1952, he was united in marriage to Carol Mintner at Ebenezer Methodist Church in the town of Lomira. His wife preceded him in death on January 15, 1993.

Floyd was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Lomira and was an independent truck driver for many years attaining the �million mile� recognition. He was a regular early morning patron at Susie�s Home Cooking restaurant in Lomira, and his favorite pastime was watching the work done by workers at various construction sites.

Survivors include five daughters, Cheryl (Gerry) Meyer of Brownsville, Barbara (Robert) Breitag of West Bend, Joy (Ed) Kikkert of Beaver Dam, Pamela Smith of DeForest and Tina Rawlins of Lomira A brother, Dale (Shirley) Smith of Brownsville 12 grandchildren, Brian Meyer, Tracy (Tristan) Kysely, Robert Meyer, Angela (Jason) Liegl, Tim Breitag, Scott (Caroline) Kikkert, Adam (Brandi) Kikkert, Tony (Becky) Kikkert, Colleen Jajewski, Daniel Jajewski, Beth Rawlins and Christopher Rawlins, nine great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to his wife and parents, Floyd was preceded in death by a grandson, Eric Meyer.

Funeral services for Floyd will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 14, 2008, at Trinity United Methodist Church in Lomira. Rev. John Hobbins and Rev. Eric Kirkegaard will officiate and burial will follow in Ebenezer Cemetery in the town of Lomira.

Kathleen A. Mezera

Kathleen A. Mezera �Katie� (nee Johann), age 64, passed away on August 8th, 2008.

She was born in West Bend on November 9th, 1943 to the late Werner and Margaret (nee Kohl) Johann. She married Lawrence �Larry� Mezera on May 15th, 1965 at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church of West Bend. Katie retired from Osowski Accounting in 2007 after over 20 years of employment. She enjoyed gardening, doing crafts and sewing but above all, she loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by her husband, Larry; children, Michele (Herb) Schneeberg of Campbellsport, Terri (Roger) Kutz of Kewaskum, Lisa Kaehler of West Bend; five grandchildren, Brandon, Cindi, Laura Beth, Herbie, and Ryan; four great-grandchildren, Keyanna, Aryanna, Lilyanna, and Grace; siblings, Barbara (Roger) Landvatter, Michael Johann, Mary (David) Wolf, Sherry (Dick) Prost; and a brother-in-law, Ken (Chris) Berkel. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her sister, Sandy Johann-Berkel; niece, Jennifer Johann-Berkel; and nephew, Jeremy Johann.

The Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, August 12th, 2008, at 7:00PM at the Phillip Funeral Home Chapel of West Bend (1420 W Paradise Drive, West Bend, WI 53095). Visitation with family and friends will be held on Tuesday, August 12th from 5:00PM until time of service at 7:00PM. Cremation will take place at Paradise Cremation Services.

Leland E. Schaub

Leland E. Schaub, 81, of the town of Wayne, passed away on Friday, August 1, 2008, at his home.

He was born on March 12, 1927, in the town of Wayne, the son of the late Melvin and Elsie (Dobke) Schaub and was raised on the family homestead, Dar-Lee Acres. The farm has been in the Schaub family for 150 years. Leland attended Spring School and was a 1945 graduate of Kewaskum High School.

On May 19, 1951, he was united in marriage to Darlene Kapfer at Fifth Avenue United Methodist Church in West Bend. The couple farmed on the family homestead receiving the Washington County Conservation Award in 1969 and the Town of Wayne Centennial Award. Leland retired from farming in 1986.

Leland was a member of St. Lucas Evangelical Lutheran Church in Kewaskum and served on the church cemetery board. He was a member of the FMHA Board, the building committee for Wayne Elementary School and was a long-time member of the Kewaskum Lions Club. Leland enjoyed playing baseball for many years and playing cards in couples card club. He will be deeply missed by his wife, his family and by all who knew him.

Survivors include his loving wife of 57 years, Darlene, Five children, David (Karen) Schaub of Kewaskum, Terry (Linda) Schaub of the town of Wayne, Patricia Hafermann of Kewaskum, Mike (Kathleen) Schaub of Ripon and Susan O�Kroley of Cottage Grove. A brother, Lester (LaVerne) Schaub of New Fane, ten grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.

Rose M. Backaus

Rose M. Backhaus, 69, of the town of Scott, passed away on Friday, July 25, 2008, at St. Luke�s Medical Center in Milwaukee.

She was born on March 2, 1939, in Sheboygan, the daughter of the late Charles and Mary (Kirsten) Ernst, and on May 16, 1959, she was united in marriage to Harold Backhaus at St. Michael�s Catholic Church in St. Michaels.

Rose will fondly be remembered for her love of gardening, woodworking and line dancing. She will be deeply missed by her husband, her family, her canine companion, Lightening and by all who knew her.

Amanda C. Rathjen

Amanda Clara Rathjen, 98, of Randolph, formerly of Kewaskum, went home to be with our heavenly father on Thursday, July 31, 2008.

She was born on November 18, 1909, in Fremont, the daughter of the late Fred and Helena (Fritz) Henschel, and on May 10, 1931, she was united in marriage to Otto Rathjen. Her husband preceded her in death in June 1966.

Amanda was employed by Regal Ware in Kewaskum for 35 years, retiring in 1985 at the age of 76. She was a member of the 25 Year Club and of Hope Lutheran Church in Fond du Lac. Her favorite pastime was dancing.

Survivors include five children, Fordyce (Joann) Rathjen of Cecil, Marilyn (Walt) Miller of La Quinta, California, Virginia Enderle of West Bend, Judy (A.D.) Staggs of Mc Kinney, Texas and Kathy (Orville) Lont of Randolph, 15 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.In addition to her husband and parents, Amanda was preceded in death by a brother, a sister and six half brothers and sisters.

Funeral services for Amanda will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 6, 2008, at Hope Lutheran Church in Fond du Lac. Rev. Arthur Callies will officiate and burial will follow in Rienzi Cemetery in Fond du Lac.

Dorothy A. Bruessel(nee Barden) Of Mequon. Passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 28, 2008 at the age of 90 years. Beloved wife of Darwin �Darky� Bruessel and the late Harold Pratt. Dear mother of Sharon Thielecke and Dale (Barbara) Pratt. Proud grandmother of Gary (Connie) and Paul (Emily) Thielecke, Robin (Todd) Taylor, Christopher (Rochelle) Pratt, Kate (Adam) Wachs and 8 great grandchildren. Further survived by 9 brothers and sisters, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Dorothy was retired from Briggs & Stratton Corp. after over 35 years of service. She was a past president of the Ladies Auxiliary of VFW Post #8292 and a member of Reinesche Vereine German Society and M.O.C.

William L. �Bill� Coogan, 53, of the town of Scott, passed away on Sunday, May 4, 2008, at his home after a short illness.

He was born on September 11, 1954, in Austin, Minnesota, the son of the late Carleton and Myrtle (Keyser) Coogan and on April 10, 1999, he was united in marriage to Debra Dressel in Fond du Lac.

Bill served his country in the U. S. Navy and was employed by Woodlore, Inc. in Port Washington. He was an avid Minnesota Vikings fan all of his life and he enjoyed hunting and woodworking.

Survivors include his loving wife, Debra; four sisters, Carliene Pickett of Cedarburg and her daughter, Danita (John) Zahares and their children, Samantha, Matt and Mike; Jean (Dale) Heath of Kodiak, Alaska; Doriene Coogan and her children, Christine, Jack and Mike and Jan (Tom) Simmons of Altoona and their children, Phillep (Kaelyn) Coogan, Denny (See) Coogan and Juliene Coogan, other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded by a nephew, Scott Pickett.

Frieda M. �Tootie� Backhaus

Frieda M. �Tootie� Backhaus, 79, of St. Michaels, passed away on Wednesday, April 23, 2008, at Kathy Hospice in the town of Polk. She was born on December 30, 1928, in West Bend, the daughter of the late Herbert and Frieda (Hausfeldt) Cash, and on January 15, 1947, she was united in marriage to Harold Backhaus at St. Michael�s Catholic Church in St. Michaels.

Tootie was an active member of St. Michael�s Catholic Church in St. Michaels where she served on the Human Concerns Committee, was president of St. Vincent De Paul and a member of the Christian Women.

Tootie will lovingly be remembered as a devoted wife and mother who always put her family first. She enjoyed helping those in need. Tootie made many quilts for children in Haiti and sewed hundreds of lap robes for residents at Samaritan Health Center and Cedar Lake Health Care Center. Tootie and Harold ran the St. Vincent De Paul Food Pantry from their home for many years.

Tootie enjoyed gardening and tending her flowers, especially gladiolas, and when her family was young, she picked and sold strawberries by the case. She will be deeply missed by her husband, her family and by all who knew her.

Harold D. Krause

Harold D. Krause of Slinger was born into the eternal gates on Friday, April 11, 2008 at Cedar Community, at the dear age of 84. Born into the loving arms of Andrew and Mary (nee Gundrum) Krause on November 24th, 1923 in Milwaukee, WI.

Harold was raised in Milwaukee attending and graduating from Boy�s Tech High School. He entered into the United States Marine Corps at the age of 21; he proudly served as a member of the 1st Marine Division in Okinawa and the China occupation. On May 28th, 1949 Harold married the love of his life, Shirley (nee Klever) in Milwaukee, together raising 6 wonderful children. For the majority of his working career Harold worked as a Police Officer in River Hills, obtaining the rank of Detective; later becoming a volunteer fire fighter. Among his favorite things were the Dodgers, collecting baseball cards and his baseball hat collection.

Harold will be greatly missed by his 6 children, Yvonne (Richard) Behling of Fredonia, Diana (James) Prahl of Germantown, Dale (Sharon) of Boltonville, Scott (Cindy) of Watertown, Andy (Gayle) of MN and Paul of Thiensville. He will also be missed by 21 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, 1 brother, Louis of Theresa and nieces, nephews, other relatives and special friends.

A funeral service in memory of Harold will be held at 12 noon on Tuesday, April 15th, 2008 at Phillip Funeral Home (1420 West Paradise Dr. West Bend, WI 53095) with Father Robert Bales officiating. Friends and family may visit from 10:00 am until the time of service at noon. A private burial will follow at Wisconsin Memorial Park in Brookfield. Paul I. Matenaer

Paul I. Matenaer, of Kewaskum, entered into heavens eternal gates surrounded by his loving family on Friday, April 11, 2008 at Kathy Hospice in West Bend at 73 years of age. Born into the loving arms of Lawrence and Frances (nee Otten) on February 1st, 1935.

Paul was born and raised in Barton, WI, attending and graduating from West Bend High School. In 1953 Paul married his high school sweetheart, Marlene (nee Bruder); together they raised 7 children. Most of his life, almost 37 years, he worked for the city in the water department; retiring at 55. In retirement he worked for the city cutting grass and plowing snow. Paul loved ice fishing, hunting and gardening.

Paul is survived by his wife of 53 years, Marlene; six loving children, John (Gail) of Sheboygan, Barbara (David) Brady of Ohio, Michael of Kewaskum, Jeffrey (Inge) of Indiana, Alan (Robin) of Fredonia and Lisa (Joe) Winker of Cedar Grove. He will also be missed by 12 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren; 1 sister, Judy Juech. He will also be missed by nieces, nephews, other relatives and special friends. Paul is preceded in death by 2 children, Paul Jr. and Susan; also 1 sister Patricia and in-laws Melroy Juech and Marian (Larry) Krueger.

Rose Marie Mentink

Rose Marie Mentink, 79, of the town of Wayne, formerly of New Berlin, peacefully entered Heaven on Friday, April 4, 2008. She was born on May 18, 1928, in Milwaukee, the daughter of the late Harry and Florence Marie (Head) Grandy, and on May 1, 1965, she was united in marriage to Raymond Mentink at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Milwaukee. Rose was a past member of the School Sisters of Notre Dame, and a dedicated schoolteacher for 30 years. She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Kewaskum.

Survivors include her cherished and devoted husband of 42 years, Raymond; two loving children, Joseph (Peggie) Mentink of the town of Wayne and Rose Mary (Ken) Ripp of Greenville; five adoring grandchildren, Megan, Morgan, Grace, Benjamin and Nathan; a dear brother, Patrick (late Patsy) Grandy of Milwaukee, special aunt to many nieces, nephews. Also survived by other relatives and friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Rose will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, April 7, 2008, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Kewaskum. Father Edwin Kornath and Father Robert McDermott will concelebrate and private burial will be in the parish cemetery.

Raymond L. �Ray� Gremminger

Raymond L. �Ray� Gremminger, Sr., 79, of Kewaskum, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, April 1, 2008, at Kathy Hospice in the town of Polk, surrounded by his family.

He was born on August 13, 1928, in Campbellsport, the son of the late Roderick and Mathia (Fields) Gremminger, and on May 5, 1951, he was united in marriage to Henrietta Sperger in LeRoy. Ray was employed by Regal Ware, Inc. in Kewaskum for 46 years, and was a member of the 25 Year Club. He was also a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Kewaskum. Ray enjoyed fishing, traveling, yard work, playing sheepshead and morel mushroom picking. He liked to play ball with his grandkids and enjoyed walking his dog, Misty. Ray will fondly be remembered for his warm smile and will be deeply missed by his wife, his family and by all who knew him.

Ray is survived by his devoted wife of 56 years, Henrietta; Six children, Ray, Jr. �Squeak� (Robbie) of Plymouth, Gerald (Kim) of West Bend, Andrew of Lomira, Richard (Lori) of Horicon, Carolyn (Joe) Matenaer of Helenville and Randall (Jolene) of Beechwood; A brother, Frank Gremminger of Mayville, Twin sisters, Janice Wondra and Janet (Harold) Reiser both of Mayville and a sister, Betty (Roman) Guse of Kiel; A sister-in-law, Diane Gremminger of Mayville, 16 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, Ray was preceded in death by a sister, Helen and Bob Rescheke; a brother, Daniel; a brother-in-law, Edgar Wondra and a sister-in-law, Sylvia Gremminger.

Paula R. Hron

Paula R. Hron (nee Strachota) of West Bend and summer resident of Big Portage Lake in Land O� Lakes, WI; was born into eternal life on Saturday, March 29th, 2008 at Cedar Lake Communities at the dear age of 91. Paula was born into the loving arms of Simon and Marie (nee Straub) Strachota on January 20th, 1917 in St. Kilian, WI.

Paula was raised in St. Kilian and graduated from St. Mary�s Springs High School in Fond du Lac, WI. She worked in the family business until her marriage to Paul on October 22nd, 1946 at St. Kilian�s Catholic Church. She really enjoyed spending her time golfing, fishing, playing cards with her friends, as well as spending time with her family. Paula volunteered her time at Holy Angel�s Mission Circle, Cedar Lake Home and Meals on Wheels.

Paula is survived by four loving children; Michael (Nancy), James (Lori), Christine and Mary (Rod) Berglund; six grandchildren, Andrew, Nicholas, Rebecca and Elizabeth Hron and Matthew and Emily Berglund. She is also survived by 2 sisters and 1 brother; Leyola �Lee� Wietor, Myrtle Krejci and Orville (Marie) Strachota. Further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and special friends. Paula is preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Paul R. Hron, in 1989; several sisters and brother-in-laws.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, April 1st, 2008 at 6:00 pm at Holy Angel�s Catholic Church (138 N. 8th Ave. West Bend, WI 53095) with Father Gerald Brittain officiating. Laurie A. Schmidt, 53, of the town of Auburn, passed away on Monday, March 24, 2008, at Kathy Hospice in the town of Polk.
She was born on August 2, 1954, in Milwaukee, the daughter of Richard and Pam (Miller) Bonenfant, and on May 17, 1975, she was united in marriage to Dean Schmidt at St. Matthias Catholic Church in the town of Auburn.
Laurie was a member of St. Matthias Catholic Church in the town of Auburn and the Kewaskum Historical Society.

Harvey W. Jandre, 88, of Kewaskum, passed away on Monday, March 24, 2008, at Ivy Manor in Campbellsport.
He was born on April 4, 1919, in New Prospect, the son of the late August and Alma (Backhaus) Jandre, and on April 12, 1944, he was united in marriage to Felicia �Phyllis� Gruber at St. Andrew�s Catholic Church in LeRoy. Phyllis preceded Harvey in death on October 20, 2002.
Harvey was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Kewaskum. He was employed by Regal Ware, Inc. in Kewaskum for 38 years and was a member of the 25 Year Club.

Raymond N. Mertzig
Raymond N. Mertzig, 72, of Kewaskum, passed away on Monday, March 17, 2008, at his home.
He was born on July 30,1935, in West Bend, the son of the late Oliver and Leona (Mueller) Mertzig, and on November, 11, 1961, he was united in marriage to Betty Mae Kober at St. Lucas Evangelical Lutheran Church in Kewaskum.
Ray proudly served his country in the U. S. Army, and he was employed by the West Bend Company, retiring after 38 years of service and was a member of the 25 Year Club. He was a member of St. Lucas Evangelical Lutheran Church in Kewaskum, the Kewaskum Lions Club and the Fillmore Historical Society.
Ray will fondly be remembered for his love of sports by his participation in sports in his younger years and his attendance at every game a relative played in from grade school thru high school. He also enjoyed refereeing at St. Lucas and high school boys and girls basketball games. He was inducted into the Land of Lakes Hall of Fame, was a member of the Old Timers Baseball Association and a member of the Barton Baseball team for 19 years. Ray was an avid Brewer, Packer and Marquette fan and enjoyed bowling and golfing. He will be deeply missed by his wife, his family and by all who knew him.

Elaine A. Bauer
Elaine A. Bauer, 71, of the town of Kewaskum, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, March 11, 2008, at St. Luke�s Medical Center in Milwaukee.
She was born on April 20, 1936, in St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac, the daughter of Florian and Joan (Konkol) Patoka. Elaine graduated from St. Mary�s Springs High School in Fond du Lac and worked as a car hop at A&W and at Newberry�s Five and Ten Cent Store in Fond du Lac. On April 30, 1955, she was united in marriage to Roger Bauer at St. Mary�s Catholic Church in Fond du Lac. After their marriage, Elaine devoted her life to homemaking and raising their family.
Elaine was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Kewaskum and the Kewaskum Homemakers� Club. She enjoyed crocheting and emailing her grandchildren and friends. Elaine will fondly be remembered for her homemade bread and homemade rolls. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy. She will be deeply missed by her husband, her family and by all who knew her.

Elnora G. Shulka
Elnora G. Shulka, 91, of West Bend, formerly of the town of Kewaskum, passed away on Monday, February 11, 2008, at SynergyHealth St. Joseph�s Hospital in the town of Polk.
She was born on January 19, 1917, in Hysham, Montana, the daughter of the late Noel and Maude (Kast) Updyke, and on November 16, 1935, she was united in marriage to Anthony �Tony� Shulka in Prairie du Chien. Her husband preceded her in death on February 22, 2000.
Elnora was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in West Bend and was employed by Badger Lab Medical Supplies in Jackson as a lab technician for nearly ten years, retiring in 1982.
Survivors include four children, Velma Casey, Joann (Glenn) Naumann and Dorothy Wagner all of West Bend and Donna Knake of Mauston
Two sisters-in-law, Myrtle Shulka of Newburg and Alice Shulka of Prairie du Chien; 14 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, 14 great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to her husband and parents, Elnora was preceded in death by a son, Gerald Shulka; four brothers, Floyd, Verne, Bob and Wesley Updyke; a sister, Corabel Jensen; three grandchildren, Patrick, Rickey and Patricia; four sons-in-law, Leo Casey, Vern Knake, Ron Davis and Peter Wagner and a daughter-in-law, Sandi.

Albion J. �Fuzzy� Lehnerz

Albion J. �Fuzzy� Lehnerz, 87, of St. Michaels, passed away on Monday, January 28, 2008 at the Samaritan Health Center in West Bend.
He was born on March 6, 1920, in the town of Kewaskum, the son of the late John and Barbara (Schneider) Lehnerz, and on September 30, 1950, he was united in marriage to Jeanne Troedel at Holy Angels Catholic Church in West Bend. His wife preceded him in death on October 4, 2006.
Albion farmed in the town of Kewaskum for a period of time and in the town of Auburn until 1976. He was a milk hauler for many years and was employed by FS Feed Mill until 1985.
Albion was a member of St. Michael�s Catholic Church in St. Michaels, the St. Vincent De Paul Society and the Kewaskum XYZ Card Club. He was an avid sheepshead player, enjoyed gardening and will be fondly remembered as being quick with a joke.

Lloyd A. Koch

Lloyd A. Koch, 82, of Kewaskum, passed away on Sunday, January 27, 2008, at his home.

He was born on July 7, 1925, in Mosinee, the son of the late Henry and Beulah Koch, and on February 11, 1950, he was united in marriage to Ellen Willwohl in Bad Homberg, Germany, while he was serving in the U. S. Army. His wife preceded him in death on September 25, 2007.

Lloyd proudly served his country in the U. S. Army during World War II and the Korean War. He was retired from the U.S. Post Office and was a member of St. Michael�s Catholic Church in St. Michaels.

Phebe C. Crites

Phebe C. Crites (nee Adams), age 60, passed away on Friday, January 11th, 2008.

She is survived by children, Christopher Harris of Campbellsport, Walter Harris of Oxford, Edward (Ann) Crites of West Bend, Mark Harris of Kewaskum, Marvin II (Tracey) Crites of West Bend, Glen (Jessica) Crites of Adams, and 17 grandchildren. She is further survived by several other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Maxine Adams; husband, Marvin Crites; infant grandsons, Calvin Harris and Michael Crites.

Dr. Florizel F. Castro

Dr. Florizel F. Castro, 68, of Kewaskum, passed away on Monday, December 31, 2007, at the Lutheran Home in Wauwatosa.

He was born on February 17, 1939, in Lingayen, Philippines, the son of the late Luis and Felicisima (Fortich) Castro. Dr. Castro began practicing at the Sison Medical Clinic in Kewaskum in 1979. Later, he was a house physician at the Samaritan Health Center in West Bend until retiring in 1993. Dr. Castro was a dedicated physician, who enjoyed his work and helping his patients.

Dr. Castro was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Kewaskum and was an avid supporter of the Kewaskum High School Wrestling Club. He enjoyed gardening, especially raising tulips, music and his precious grandchildren.

Survivors include five children, Bob (Meg) Castro of Whitefish Bay, Vicki (Joe) Steger and Joy (Travis) Thull both of Kewaskum, Ray (Alma) Dominguez of Alamo, California and Al (Diana) Dominguez of Brown Deer; His former wife, Mary Clemens of Kewaskum; Two brothers, Elizer Castro and Florente Castro both of the Philippines; Three sisters, Maria Castro and Ercie DelRosorio both of California and Yong Castro of the Philippines; Seven grandchildren, Hailey and Drew Dominguez, Tony and Julia Steger, Sofia Castro, Madelyn and Carson Thull, other relatives and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, January 4, 2008, at the Miller Funeral Home in Kewaskum. Father Edwin Kornath will officiate. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home from 4:00 p.m. until the time of services.

Carol Rose Esselmann

Carol Rose Esselmann (nee Puerling) entered into heavens eternal gates Saturday December 22, 2007 in Mesa, AZ at the dear age of 71. Carol was born into the loving arms of Simon and Helen (nee Erschen) Puerling on July 2nd, 1936 in Town of Trenton, WI.

Carol was born and raised in the Town of Trenton, WI; there she met and married James B. Esselmann on August 16th, 1958. Together they raised five loving children on their dairy farm. Carol enjoyed cooking, baking, reading in her spare time, playing cards and especially loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. In retirement she spent her winters with Jim in Arizona; always welcoming her friends and family to visit.

Carol is survived by her loving husband and best friend of almost 50 years James B. Esselmann, Town of Trenton; her loving children Jane Esselmann, Town of Trenton; Jill (Steven) Enright, Town of Farmington; Jeff (Gail) Esselmann, Town of Trenton; Jerry (Renee) Esselmann, Town of Farmington and Joseph Esselmann, Town of Trenton. Carol is further survived by her adoring grandchildren Barbara (fianc� Jon) and James Landrum; Ryan, Tyler, Zachary, Chelsea Esselmann; Jonathan and Brooke Enright. Carol is also survived by her brother Thomas (Carol) Puerling, her sisters Janice (Joseph) Ebli and Joyce (Lawrence) Smith. Carol will be missed by her special friends Marilyn Zulka and Craig Davidson. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Carol is preceded in death by two brothers, Roger and Jerome and her son-in-law Stephen Landrum.

Alexander H. �Alex� Laubach

Alexander H. �Alex� Laubach, 89, of Kewaskum, passed away on Monday, December 17, 2007, at SynergyHealth St. Joseph�s Hospital in the town of Polk.

He was born on August 2, 1918, in the town of Auburn, the son of the late Nicholas and Elsie (Laatsch) Laubach, and on September 4, 1943, he was united in marriage to Claudia Beisbier at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Kewaskum. The couple farmed on the family homestead in the town of Auburn until moving to Kewaskum in 1958.

Alex was employed by Herriges Oil in Kewaskum and later by Regal Ware, Inc. in Kewaskum for 16 years. After retirement, he worked part-time at Kewaskum Frozen Foods. He was a member of the Kewaskum Fire Department and the Rescue Squad, retiring after nearly 25 years of service. Alex was a member of St. Michael�s Catholic Church in St. Michaels. He will be deeply missed by his wife, his family and by all who knew him.

Survivors include his loving wife of 64 years, Claudia; Two children, Richard (Sue) Laubach of Kewaskum and Vivian (Andrew) Reis of Vadnais Heights, Minnesota; Six grandchildren, Tory Laubach, Tanya Laubach, Tiffany Laubach, Michael Schield, Michelle (Tim) Amundson and Melissa (Jason) Morgan; Four great-grandchildren, Brady Laubach, Jordan Morgan, Skylin Amundson and Dylan Amundson; A sister, Betty (Harold �Muggs�) Manthei of the town of Auburn, other relatives and many friends.

Alex was preceded in death by an infant brother, Kenneth and a sister, Bernadine (Norman) VanAltena.

Barbara K. Schmidt, 60, of Kewaskum, passed away on Tuesday, December 11, 2007, at Columbia St. Mary�s Ozaukee Hospital.

She was born on August 22, 1947, in Fond du Lac, the daughter of the late August �Augie� and Beulah (Schaub) Koch, and on March 23, 1967, she was united in marriage to Lee Schmidt at Peace United Church of Christ in Kewaskum.

Barb worked as a dental hygienist for many years for Dr. John Koehler in West Bend and later for Dr. Rauwerdink, until her illness. She was a member of Peace United Church of Christ in Kewaskum.

Barb believed in tradition and her favorite holiday was Christmas. She loved decorating and had decorations for every holiday. She also made many crafts, collected teddy bears and had a passion for flower gardening. Barb�s grandchildren were her pride and joy.

Barb was a shining light for her family and friends. Even during her battle with cancer she remained optimistic and courageous. She fought her illness with remarkable strength. She will be deeply missed by her husband, her family and by all who knew her.

Survivors include her loving husband, Lee; Two children, Jill (Mike) Semerad of West Bend and Chad (Elizabeth) Schmidt of Los Alamos, New Mexico; Two grandsons, Spencer and Parker Semerad; A brother, A. Sylvia C. Burke

Sylvia C. Burke, 89, of the town of Scott, passed away on Sunday, December 9, 2007 at the Beechwood Rest Home in Beechwood.

She was born on August 13, 1918, in the town of Osceola, the daughter of the late Otto and Erma (Wittenberg) Schmidt. She attended grade school in Armstrong and on October 31, 1942, she was united in marriage to William Burke at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Dundee.

Her husband preceded her in death on July 27, 1982.

Sylvia was employed as a clerk at William�s Grocery Store in Beechwood for over 25 years. Later she worked at Amity Leather Products in West Bend, retiring after 15 years of service. She later worked at the Beechwood Rest Home baking for the residents.

Sylvia was a lifelong member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Dundee. She was an active member of the Ladies Aid Society, where she held various offices.

Survivors include two sons, Dale Burke (special friend, April) of Beechwood and Gary Burke of Adell; Two brothers, Eugene (Joyce) Schmidt of Beechwood and Elmer (Lois) Schmidt of Adell; Two sisters, Phyllis (Howard) Narges of Waucousta and Carol (Ken) Koth of Kewaskum

A sister-in-law, Gayl Schmidt of Beechwood, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to her husband and parents, Sylvia was preceded in death by two brothers, Alvin �Mike� (Lillie) Schmidt and Jerome Schmidt; her parents-in-law, Gordon and Alma Burke; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Hazel (nee Burke) (Martin) Roltgen and Phyllis (nee Burke) (Francis) Baker.

Jan F. Rosenthal

Jan F. Rosenthal, 69, of Kewaskum, passed away surrounded by his family on Saturday, December 8, 2007, at his home.

He was born on January 15, 1938, in Fond du Lac, the son of the late Ivan C. and Mildred (Immel) Rosenthal, and on November 29, 1958, he was united in marriage to Marjorie Miller at St. Peterʼs Lutheran Church in Fond du Lac. Marjorie preceded Jan in death on March 9, 1994.

Jan was a dedicated English teacher at Kewaskum High School, retiring in 1995 after 33 years of service. He was also the Kewaskum High School girlʼs tennis coach and served as an auxiliary police officer with the Kewaskum Police Department. Jan was also employed by the Department of Natural Resources as a deputy game warden and park ranger for many years.

Jan was a member of Wings over Wisconsin, Ducks Unlimited and the West Bend Barton Sportsmenʼs Club. He loved outdoor activities and hunting.

Survivors include his loving partner, Jennifer Piper and her son, Staff Sergeant, Kevin Piper; Two sons, Mark Rosenthal (Michelle Klupp) of Union Grove and Craig (Kelly) Rosenthal of Kewaskum; Two granddaughters, Liza and Alaina Rosenthal, other relatives, many friends and his dog, Haley.

In addition to his wife and parents, Jan was preceded in death by a sister, Jacqueline Rosenthal.

William F. Haack

William F. Haack, 72, of the town of Scott, passed away on Saturday, December 8, 2007, at the Cedar Lake Health Care Center in the town of West Bend.

He was born on June 2, 1935, in West Bend, the son of the late Ervin and Helen (Ramel) Haack, and on November 11, 1961, he was united in marriage to Jane Elliott in Sheboygan Falls. Jane preceded William in death on December 15, 2006.

William proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, and he was employed by the Oneida County Sheriffʼs Department as a corrections officer for 15 years. William enjoyed working at the YMCA Kettle Moraine Camp Matawa, especially working with the horses. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in the town of Scott.

Survivors include five children, Jim (Pam) Haack of Tomahawk, Dan (Lisa) Haack of Rhinelander, Jonathan Haack of Fond du Lac, Joanna (David) Mellenthin of Kewaskum and Dollie Rains of Bettendorf, Iowa; eight grandchildren, Amanda and Rebecca Woller, Barbara Rae Jane and Josiah Haack, Ashley and Cecily Mellenthin, Abigail and Benjamin Rains; a great-grandson, Trevor James Houpt; two sisters, Bernice Goedde of Plymouth and Beatrice (Kenneth) Stahl of Fort Wayne, Indiana, other relatives and friends.

In addition of his wife and parents, William was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Victor Goedde.

John W. Kenworthy

John W. Kenworthy, 87, of Kewaskum, formerly of Newton, Iowa, passed away on Wednesday, December 5, 2007, at the Samaritan Health Center in West Bend.

He was born on March 21, 1920, in Monroe County, Iowa, the son of the late Mark and Mary Catherine (Curran) Kenworthy. On November 25, 1953, he was united in marriage to Wilma Haseltine and the couple made their home in Newton, Iowa.

John proudly served his country in the U. S. Army 14th Armored Division during World War II, and was employed as an engineer for the Maytag Company, retiring after 35 years of service. He was a former member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Newton, Iowa and the Elks Lodge 1270 of Newton, Iowa. In 2005, John and Wilma moved to Kewaskum. Wilma preceded John in death on January 30, 2007.

Survivors include three children, Linda (Leonard) Vitiritto of Arizona, Mary Kay (Brad) Speaks of Independence, Missouri and John D. (Denise) Kenworthy of Kewaskum; Six grandchildren, Mark and Mike Mazzie, Ciera (Ben) Rhoades, Nathan Kenworthy (Jade Zadrazil), Dylan and Ian Kenworthy; A great-granddaughter, Victoria Kenworthy, who was Johnʼs pride and joy; A brother, Chuck (Lavonne) Kenworthy of Loveland, Colorado, other relatives and friends.

In addition to his wife and parents, John was preceded in death by nine brothers and sisters.

James O. Kofler, 69, of Kewaskum, passed away on Friday, November 30, 2007, at Kathy Hospice in the town of Polk.

He was born on March 8, 1938, in Milwaukee, the son of the late Otto and Adina (Glassel) Kofler, and on February 14, 1986, he was united in marriage to Susan Wolfe.

Jim served his country in the U. S. Army and was employed by Engineered Plastics Corporation in Menomonee Falls for 14 years.

Survivors include his wife, Susan; Three daughters, Mary Kofler, Adina (Jack) Mueller and Jacqueline Kofler; A son, Jeffrey (Chris) Kofler; A sister, Carol, grandchildren, other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, James, Jr. and a sister, Sharon.

Lucille C. Stoffel

Lucille C. Stoffel, of West Bend, Wisconsin entered into eternal peace on Monday, November 19, 2007 at Cedar Lake Healthcare Center, after 94 years of life.

Lucille was born on September 28, 1913 to Nicholas and Catherine (nee Walter) Stoffel in the town of Addison and was raised on the Stoffel Homestead. After completing her education, she started working for the West Bend Company. She then began dedicating her time and energy to years of caring for various members of her family who needed assistance and being a part-time nanny for many local families. She volunteered at Holy Angels Catholic Church, where she was an active member, for many occasions and enjoyed helping to cook in the Walnut Room at church. Lucille also was a member of the Foresters.

She will be missed by her nieces and nephews, Arlene Strupp of Napa Valley, California, Marvin (Rochelle) Stoffel of West Bend, Gladys (Frank) Scharrer of Allenton, Shirley (Gordon) Gehring of Hartford, and James (Patricia) Stoffel of Allenton. She will also be missed by great-nieces, great-nephews, other relatives and friends; and was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers, Arthur and Barney Stoffel; Sr. Dorothy Stoffel, SSSF; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, and her nephews, Ronald and Gerald Stoffel.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, November 26, 2007 at 7:00 p.m. at Holy Angels Catholic Church (138 N. 8th Avenue, West Bend, WI 53095), with Father Gerald Brittain officiating and Father Richard Stoffel co-officiating. Marion D. Baumhardt, 82, of West Bend, passed away on Wednesday, November 14, 2007, at Kathy Hospice in the town of Polk.

She was born on November 25, 1924, in Campbellsport, the daughter of the late Barthol and Minnie (Kohn) Becker. In 1975, she was united in marriage to Donald Baumhardt. Her husband preceded her in death on November 10, 1988.

Marion was employed by Regal Ware Inc. in Kewaskum in the office and in the outlet mall, retiring in 1996 after 22 years of service. She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Kewaskum and enjoyed traveling, playing bingo and spending time with her family.

Survivors include three children, Tom (Jill) Bohn, Alan (Joan) Bohn and Carol Bohn all of West Bend; nine stepchildren, Patricia Wietor, Susan (Stanley) Immel, Joan Baumhardt, Ronald (Debbie) Baumhardt, Ann (Daniel) Sabish and William (Elaine) Baumhardt all of Campbellsport, Roger (Diane) Baumhardt of Plymouth, David (Pat) Baumhardt and Richard Baumhardt both of Kewaskum; five grandchildren, Jim (Kerrie) Bohn, Lisa (Joel) Klahn, Richard (Gloria) Krahn, Marcus and Tiffany Bohn; six great-grandchildren, Danny, Elizabeth and James Bohn, Allysa Klahn, Michael Krahn and Riley Bohn; a brother-in-law, Robert (Lois) Baumhardt of Fond du Lac County; a sister-in-law, Sophie Kohn of West Bend; a stepson-in-law, Bill Benson of Campbellsport,16 step-grandchildren and six step-great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.

Leonard H. A. Westphal

Leonard H. A. Westphal, of Theresa, Wisconsin entered into eternal peace on Monday, November 5, 2007, surrounded by his loving family, at the age of 72 years old.

Leonard was born on August 24, 1935, the son of Herald and Margaret (nee Zuahlke) Westphal in Hustisford, Wisconsin. On January 9, 1955, he committed his love to Joann Eleanor Ritger. After marriage, the couple began a loving family of their own, whom they raised in the Slinger area. Leonard will be remembered for always being a loving father, devoted to his family. He was a dedicated employee of the West Bend Company for 45 years; and also worked part time for Johnson Brass and Machine Foundry in Kewaskum for many years. In his free time, he loved woodworking, was an avid fisherman, and enjoyed his trips up north and out to Wyoming.

Leonard is survived by his loving children, Angeline Westphal of West Bend, Pamela Nummerdor (Special friend, Ken) of Campbellsport, Mary (Bruce) Olson of Green Bay, Suzanne Westphal (Special friend, Bob) of Medford, Brenda (Martin) DeBuhr of Wyoming, Tina (Ken) Ziegelbauer of Hartford, Jeffrey Westphal of Slinger, and Tim Westphal of Eden; twenty adored grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. He will also be missed by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Leonard was greeted at Heaven�s gates by his parents, his cherished wife, Joann, and his granddaughter, Rebecca.

Leona N. �Susie,� �Auntie,� Stahl (nee Truebenbach),
Passed away on Saturday, November 3, 2007 at Kathy�s Hospice, at the age of 85.

She was born on September 18, 1922 to Michael and Ella (nee Nohl) Truebenbach, in the Town of Fredonia. On June 7, 1947, she married Henry C. Stahl at Holy Trinity Church in Newburg. He preceded her in death on February 13, 2000.

She began her career with the United States Postal Service in 1949, retiring in 1984 as Postmaster at Newburg. She was a member of the National Association of Postmasters, serving two terms as vice president.
Leona was an active member of St. Peter�s United Church of Christ in Saukville, serving terms as an elder and deacon, and gave countless hours of her time helping with rummage sales and other fund raisers. After retirement, she and Henry enjoyed many winters of Arizona sunshine.

She is survived by her nieces, Shirley (Paul) Liermann, and Judith (Brian) Harris; nephew, Donald (Sandra) Truebenbach; a sister-in-law, Dorena Truebenbach; and other loving family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, four brothers, and three sisters-in-law.

A Funeral Service in memory of Leona will be held on Saturday, November 10, 2007 at 12:00 p.m. (noon) at St. Peter�s United Church of Christ in Saukville. Visitation with family and friends will also be held on Saturday, November 10, 2007 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Service at 12:00 p.m. at church. Entombment will take place on Monday, November 12, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. at Washington County Memorial Park in West Bend. In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to St. Peter�s United Church of Christ or Kathy Hospice.

Hildegarde M. Minninger

Hildegarde M. Minninger (nee Johnson), of Jackson, Wisconsin entered into eternal peace on Monday, October 22, 2007 at Cedar Lake Healthcare Center, after 93 years of life.

Hildegarde was born on February 19, 1914 to Andrew and Elizabeth (nee Schneikert) Johnson, in Sheboygan. Hildegarde loved to travel, truly enjoying her Golden Years; �World Wide Traveler.� She also loved devoting her time, love and energy to her children, grandchildren, and her great-grandchildren. Hildegarde was a member and past president of the Wisconsin Women�s� Club.

Hildegarde will be deeply missed by her loving children, Janet Kunkel of Cedarburg, Pat (Gordy) Erdmann of Milwaukee, and Kathy Scheibel of Arizona; her dear grandchildren, Michael (Kerie) Kunkel, Kelly Stone, Jodi (Robert) Liniewski, Wendy (Scott) Bohl, Steve (Laurie) Erdmann, Sheri (Steve) Sandoval, Troy (Candy) Scheibel, and Todd Scheibel; and her great-grandchildren, Michaela Kunkel, Ryan Stone, Ashley Stone, Eric Liniewski, Jessica Liniewski, Heather Bohl, Nicole Erdmann, Sara Erdmann, Josef Koller, Jeremy Koller, and Jordan Koller. She will also be missed by nieces, nephews, other special relatives and many dear friends.

Hildegarde was preceded in death by her husbands, Adam Ratajcak and Cecil Minninger; her son, Michael Ratajcak; her sons-in-law, Tom Kunkel and Roger Scheibel; four sisters, and four brothers.

A Funeral Service in memory of Hildegarde will be held on Monday, October 29, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Chimes at Wisconsin Memorial Park (13235 W. Capitol Drive, Brookfield, WI 53005), with Chaplain Cheryl L. Matusiak officiating. Visitation with family and friends will also be held on Monday in the Chapel of the Chimes from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the Funeral Service at 2:00 p.m. Entombment will take place at Wisconsin Memorial Park. Mary K. Larson

Mary K. Larson (nee Welch) passed away peacefully in her home and was born to eternal life on September 30, 2007, at the age of 69.

Beloved wife of Richard Larson for 47 years; loving mother of Scott Larson, Julie (Dennis) Rogers, Terry, Jill, Rick (Amorn) and Shawn Larson; proud grandmother of Lindsay and Katelyn Turnmeyer, Samuel and Nickolas Larson, and Max, Alex and Katherine Rogers; fond sister of Dan (Jim) Welch, Kathy (Mike) Hegedus, and Mike (Sharon) Welch, and a wonderful family of nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters-in-law and countless others who were influenced by her life.

Mary was born to Daniel and Antoinette Welch (Ragghianti) on August 16, 1938. She attended St. John Cathedral High School where she was queen of the prom of the Class of 1956. She played the lead role in several high school performances, and shared her love of the theater with her family throughout her life. Mary was employed by Washington County, retiring in 2000 after 19 years of service.

Mary�s overwhelming kindness, sense of humor, optimistic attitude and witty advice will be greatly missed by all of us.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Mary will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, October 5, 2007, at St. Matthew�s Catholic Church, 419 Mill Street, Campbellsport, followed by a procession to the parish
cemetery for burial. Father Neil Zinthefer will officiate.

Visitation will be held at the Miller Funeral Home, 215 Forest Avenue in Kewaskum on Thursday, October 4 from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. and also at the funeral home from 1:00 until 1:30 p.m. on Friday.

Francis G. Gilboy

Francis G. Gilboy, 88, of Kewaskum, found eternal peace on Tuesday, October 2, 2007. He was born on December 12, 1918, in the town of Osceola, Dundee, the son of the late George and Olive (Leisses)Gilboy, and on September 27, 1952, he was united in marriage to Jeane Trapp.

The couple had made their home in Kewaskum since 1954.
Francis was employed by Regal Ware, Inc. in Kewaskum for over 33 years and was a member of the 25 Year Club. He was the Financial Secretary/Treasurer of Local 849 for 32 years and was the manager and custodian of the Local 849 Labor Center for 35 years.
Francis was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Kewaskum, the Knights of Columbus Father Casper Rehrl Council 1964 West Bend, the Democratic Party of Washington County and the Kewaskum and Campbellsport Senior Centers. He served as treasurer of the Campbellsport Seniors for 22 years.

Francis enjoyed playing cards, listening and watching baseball, football and basketball games, and enjoyed working on woodworking projects and working on projects outside in the yard. Francis was a
